Comments Thread For: Johnny Fisher Taken Distance For First Time, Beats Gabriel Ebguema

Heavyweight Johnny Fisher was taken the distance for the first time, as Spain's Gabriel Ebguema withstood an early onslaught and gave Fisher plenty to think about on the Alexandra Palace bill in North London.

Hope to see it on youtube or something. Enguema is a big tough dude. He is one of the better Euro trialhorses… 6’5 250 & lets his hands go more often than not…

Enguema didn’t let his hands go tonight unfortunately. He mostly stalked Fisher without doing enough. Good test and win for Fisher with him being pretty much a novice

Ebguema was completely flat footed standing in front of Fisher and Fisher could not hit the mark. Fisher has a long way to go.

Fisher is a Fury sparring partner and fan he needs to get with real guys and stop trying to be a groupie . This fight exposed him a lot but he’s still a top prospect.

I think he is pushing 40 & not as durable as he once was still a surviver who can go a few rounds…

What a win. Fisher is the new George Foreman. Nash out.

I think I might have made a thread about Enguema a few years back…

Fisher is lucky the Spaniard was only paid to turn up, cos he held back and was more concerned with sticking to the script. Fisher whilst popular has a lot of work to do

Fisher looked pretty gassed in there very early.

Needs to work on his jab, making openings and then unleashing power shots. Looked very raw and amatuerish - although that tends to happen when you're pumped in front of your fans. Sometimes it doesn't help having them there.
