As for 'not deserving' that's the last cry of the uninformed. If having the best resume of all heavyweights isn't deserving then I don't know what is. And if sitting in the top challenger slot (often as interim champion) for an org isn't deserving then I don't know what is. They're just facts - they're in this position precisely because they earned it. If Joshua didn't deserve a rematch against Usyk then it would never have been in the contract - it's in the contract because Anthony Joshua produces the biggest pay days for challengers due to the career he's had.
As for "bailed on a fight vs Wallin in pure cowardice. Doing that shouldnt get you a title shot."
You've misunderstood the sequence. Bailing v Wallin didn't get him a title shot. Being interim champion got him the title shot. Wallin was a voluntary fight - Whyte chose him. He'd have been a moron to then continue with that fight when the mandatory was finally called. Surely anyone can see that?
If we're on 'deserving' your position... what did Fury do to deserve title fights? He didn't go to the back of the queue. He fought Seferi and Pianeta! We know why he got the fight - it's nothing to do with some strange notion of earning a title shot purely in the ring. It's because he carried enough name, enough legitimacy, and enough vulnerability. That's how you earn and deserve your fight in boxing.
