The kid has a lot of talent and he may turn out a good one, but it has to be earned. He lost to Farooq, and lost every round before he stopped legrand and is talking about if he were offered Inoue. In what universe does he think Inoue might want to fight him lol. Davison might not be the trainer for him, but he has to focus on the here and now, and not what he thinks he might become. He was good under Shane. But Josh moved, and so did Lee. Why? Is he joined at the hip to Josh? If Davidson work's for Josh, that doesn't guarantee it'll be a good fit for Lee. But his pal moves so he does too. Trying to be something he's not yet. Go prove yourself first.
McGregor moved because he left Cyclone (Controlled by Barry McGuigan) to join MTK. Unfortunately for Shane his dad’s promotional/management issues have severed many of his successful partnerships such as Frampton, Taylor and now McGregor. It’s just a shame MTK send these talented fighters to Davison who is completely inept as a boxing trainer.

Taylor has looked worse under Davison too. Saunders looked poor under Davison, so did Fury, essentially everyone he works with see’s a drop off in performance.

I was a fan of Kash, but unfortunately he has had to retire and I'm gutted for him, and as a fan. McGregor has to get realistic or he's gonna flop. I hope he doesn't. But imo he over rates himself.

I thought Kash beat McGregor too but struggling with Kash Farooq and struggling with the guy he should have lost to last night shows a drop in performance. Lee definitely looked far more polished under Shane compared to boxercise Ben.

McGregor was not impressive. I thought he probably eked out a win but there wasn't a whole lot to separate him from his opponent. Was surprised he was rated that highly.
The Dignum/Dennis fight was entertaining for a bit. Dennis moved too much, faded and then just succumbed after he suffered some eye damage.
On a side note, York Hall looks to be a fun venue for a fight. Would love to see a cars there someday.

McGregor looks down his nose at these guys like their beneath him, but he doesn't perform to back it up. That's an attitude problem, not a coaching problem. He had this issue with Shane also. McGregor needs to start appreciating that he can't just turn up to win. He has to earn it like everybody else. I get that you have a dislike for Davison, but he's not the problem here. McGregor is the problem here. And to give you some perspective on my viewpoint. I'm Scottish. I couldn't be more proud of our star Josh Taylor. I'm trying so desperately to be on the Lee McGregor bandwagon, but I'm struggling here. He's talented. But if his attitude isn't right there's not a coach out there that will help this kid. He needs to start showing respect.

That’s typical Davison, blaming the fighter instead of taking responsibility as a trainer. McGregor’s level of performance has trended downwards ever since joining Davison. It’s clear who the bigger problem is…

Look, I don't know why you hate Davison, but McGregors attitude flaws are massively evident, and unless he sorts them, he will never be a top fighter with any trainer. They can only do so much. When McGregor goes through the ropes it's on him and he's letting himself down.
McGregor will never be a world class fighter IMO, just doesn’t have that kind of ability, but he looked a damn sight better under Shane McGuigan. He was following more suitable game-plans and boxing to his strengths, that’s not happening under the boxercise coach.

He thinks he's at levels that he has not yet shown and that he is some kind of star. That early hype went to his head. Sometimes he thinks he only needs to turn up to win. This recent fight is evidence of this. He shows a lack of respect, and unless he addresses that, it will be his undoing.
