And Cotto does get credit for beating Pacquaio. He deserves it for beating legitimate guys in his weight division. Cotto has beaten Mosely and Clottey at welterweight, better than any of Floyds wins at that weight. Maybe if Floyd put in a little more work, people wouldn't need to question the fights he takes.

If Pacquaio beats Cotto, and Mayweather beats Pacquaio, that doesn't erase the fact that he avoided Cotto like the plaugue.

People absolutely said that about Ali. If there were internet forums in the 60's he would be the Mayweather of right now. Before Ali fought and beat Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Shavers, Liston, etc., people did think he was disrespectful, that's why they hated him.
