Ali proved it. Floyd will never fight a game fighter. Pacquaio and Marquez don't count.

          You just owned yourself!!

are you trying to tell me that in 39 pro fights, and after winning titles in 5 different weight classes he has NEVER fought anyone game?....

          lol

wait..what do you mean Pac & Marquez dont count? those are the # 1 & 2 P4P fighters right now.

So if Cotto beats Pac then its GREAT, and if Pac beats Marquez again he is great...but if Mayweather beats both of them then it doesnt count?......

People loathed Ali, they completely hated him. It's only after he fought and beat every worthwhile contender the heavyweight division had to offer that people looked back and accepted what he was saying after Liston.

As for the other question, you're welcome to your opinion. I'm just telling you it's a pretty ****ed up one and if you knew a little more about boxing you wouldn't be saying what you're saying about Floyd being the greatest fighter of all time. That's a huge insult to the real legends of the sport.
Maybe not the most legendary fighter, but he is top 5 all time in skill....offense and defense...

look at his connect percentage vs other fighters...and look at their's vs him

boxing is about hitting effectively and not getting hit back....Mayweather has the perfect combination of defense & offense....this is an art...it isnt about who has the biggest heart...its about skill and as far as BOXING SKILL Mayweather is one of the greatest.....

no way Mayweather will EVER have tons of legends on his resume like the old school fighters, cause there isnt many GREAT fighters today

That's right because he claimes to be the best. He should be fighting true welters and jr middle. If he said he was just another boxer doing his job than it's ok, but he claims to be the best so he have to back it up.

what does people hating Ali have to do with the fact that way b4 he was even a champ,he was saying he was the best ......................through his whole career and noone said "Ali is out of his mind he hasnt dont what jack johnson did or what Joe Louis did"...but Mayweather says it and its disrespectful?

                      At welterweight fool.

And Cotto does get credit for beating Pacquaio. He deserves it for beating legitimate guys in his weight division. Cotto has beaten Mosely and Clottey at welterweight, better than any of Floyds wins at that weight. Maybe if Floyd put in a little more work, people wouldn't need to question the fights he takes.

If Pacquaio beats Cotto, and Mayweather beats Pacquaio, that doesn't erase the fact that he avoided Cotto like the plaugue.
