Comments Thread For: BOXXER's Shalom Details His Role in Fury vs. Whyte Negotiations

If Dillian Whyte finally gets the heavyweight title shot he is looking for against compatriot and WBC titlist Tyson Fury, it will be in no small part thanks to the efforts of a relatively unknown 27-year-old boxing promoter from England.

Ben is doing a brilliant job over with sky sports. I’m sure he will keep growing and become pretty well known in the boxing world.

Where do they find these writers? This guy knows nothing about boxing.

If Dillian Whyte finally gets the heavyweight title shot he is looking for against compatriot and WBC titlist Tyson Fury, it will be in no small part thanks to the efforts of a relatively unknown 27-year-old boxing promoter from England.
If Whyte gets the fight it will be in absolutely no part thanks to Shalom. Shalom was representing Boxxer. ie he was looking at a deal for Sky.

And he didn't find one. So no, he contributed nothing.

And it went to purse bids. That's why Dillian might get the fight.

Shalom mentioned that Whyte was not represented by his promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, in these particular discussions, as Hearn was committed to representing his other heavyweight charge, Anthony Joshua
No he didn't. I've heard the interview. Why would Hearn be involved in a discussion for Boxxer to promote the fight? Shalom never said that because it would make him a moron.

Sean Nam, hang your head in shame.

And BoxingScene, hang your head even lower for publishing this rubbish.

This reads like a press release rather than an article. I'd be interested in seeing something about the (ahem) *links* between Boxxer, Probellum and MTK Global, but we get PR like this instead.

Poor article. Guy who doesn't promote anybody gets congratulated for negotiating nothing. Thank God he stepped in or it would've went to purse bid a day or two sooner? Amazing stuff.

Is this Shalom guy being propped up by Arum? Seems he came from nowhere to get the TV deal and already is 'very close' with Top Rank which is unusual because Arum hates anybody who doesn't do exactly what he wants all the time.

Also, reading this again, it sounds really positive on Dillians side, if Ben is happy, Maybe Whyte is? Made me feel positive that this fights going to happen.

            Really looking forward to it.
