Amir Khan's heart is extremely underrated

Been watching some old Khan fights recently and one thing that I've noticed is that the dude's got heart. He was dropped multiple times by Garcia but after every knockdown he got up and fought back valiantly, until the ref stopped it. Was hurt by Maidana and several others but he'll always fight back and give the crowd a show. You literally have to put him to sleep like Canelo did. The one exception was the Crawford fight but he was hit low.

Losing doesn't define you, it's how you bounce back from your defeats. Khan has bounced back from all his defeats very well, better than most fighters.

Brook likes to mock Khan and call him a quitter, but Brook was the one who took multiple knees against Spence. In both the Spence and GGG fights, I notice Brook was tapping his eye and looking at his corner. First rule of boxing is you don't show your opponent that you're hurt, to do so is looking for a way out. Against Crawford he stopped defending himself after getting hit with a jab.

Khan deserves a lot more credit for his heart than people give him credit for, the fans love him for a reason. Dude is a true warrior.

I agree, Khan’s a fool but I have tremendous respect for him as a fighter. I can’t say the same for Brook.

With that weak chin, does it matter?

Khan always tried to get up and always wanted tough fights. His style of fighting is very much fighting with his heart too, even going all the way back to the Willie Limond fight, or even rematching Mario Kindelan as an amateur. Khan needed real heart there. But his chin is the problem.

Truth is his haters don't like him because his ****** and Pakistani - but that's a different story. I'm sure they will deny it, but that's society today.

Having said all that, it's clear he's now at the end of his career though. He did quit v Crawford and that for me shows he's not got the same heart and desire to fight the way he used to. Old Khan would've rather get KOd swinging.

He used to yes. The quit job against Bud shows me that heart isn’t the same anymore. But I don’t expect either to quit in this fight. Way too much pride against each other here

Khan's problem was never heart, it was brains

I remember Khan getting dropped and then battered around the ring by Danny Garcia, Khan still kept fighting.

He looked like he was dazed when the ref stopped it, and Khan complained about the stoppage and wanted the fight to continue.

But the way he folded against Crawford? Not sure if he has that in him anymore. The 2011 Khan would have went down swinging.

I don't think it is a lot of people have always mentioned how he had heart when talking about Khan so he's always been credited for it but it's his chin people have always dissed. Still has had a better career than most boxers

I always used to rip on the dude, only because of some of the stuff he used to spew. But truth be told I was always kind of a fan, just because he was always entertaining to watch, you couldn't blink in case he got clipped and went wobbly lol.

His fast hands too i guess.
