My guess is that Makabu doesn't get the golden ticket for the Canelo sweepstakes. He got the nod before he was forced to fight Mchunu rematch, now that has exposed him a bit I imagine we see Saul in against Charlo or Joe Smith, Jr.

He'll fight Charlo, and after Charlo, he'll fight Joe Smith Jr. or Golovkin. I think it'll be Golovkin. If we can see Joe Smith vs Beterbiev in the meantime, then that lines up Beterbiev or Bivol (cause no way in hell Smith beats Beterbiev) and corners Canelo a little for a winter match between one of those two. (I hope!)

Point is that you just have to trace the easiest path, and that's the path that Canelo takes.

Cant argue with this. I think the Charlo fight will actually be entertaining; His pride and jab will make it interesting, his vulnerability to the body will be the reason he loses.

Beterbiev is a good fighter but he's getting old. Smith is limited but he can crack. If they fight I can see Canelo fighting the winner.
