If he doesn't deserve the money he's asking for then who does? Everyone wants to knock Crawford for Bob Arum not doing his job. Last I checked PROMOTERS are suppose to promote their fighters and fighters are suppose to win their fights. Please explain to me how it is that Crawford doesn't deserve top dollar for doing his job as well as anyone in the sport.

His contract had him at a minimum and Crawford stated that he wasn't accepting less than his minimum just so that someone else can maximize their profit. He's the one putting his life on line. It's silly to hear people claim he should take a pay cut just because Bob waits til a week or two before even promoting Crawford's fight. I saw Wilder/Fury trailers for 3 months before they faced each other. Loma/Teo trailers were all over ESPN leading up to the fight. Only time I heard about Porter/Crawford is if I listened to Porter's pod cast or I came to a boxing forum. I didn't see a single commercial on ESPN until November 10th while watching a college bball game.

I get that. Yes he got in the ring, but we shouldn't paint the narrative that he did so because he showed my bravery or guts than the others on PBC. Porter was forced to take a fight he avoided just like his peers. And due to the fact he had spent so much time on his podcast talking about all he would do if he was to fight Crawford, he had no choice but to show face. Even doubled down by guaranteeing a knockout of Crawford leading up to the fight only to take an L, be stopped and his daddy creating all these contradictory excuses as to why his son wasn't prepared properly. Ending result.........Retirement.

I honest don't feel Spence does as well as Porter did in the ring. I don't think Spence beats Ugas or even Thurman.

Gonna be interesting to see how his eye holds up vs Ugas. 50/50 fight imo. Vs Thurman rn, Keef gets washed. Thurman needs a few fights to get back into fighting shape. And he needs to win those fights in fashion b4 he fights Spence.

Thurman made $2.5M facing Manny.......the most he's gotten in a single purse but wanted $10M for Crawford
Porter made $2M facing Spence......the most he'd gotten in a single purse but turned down a $2.5M offer from Bob Arum
Danny Garcia made $2M facing Thurman.....the most he'd gotten in single purse but didn't accept a $3M offer from Bob Arum.

Totally agree regarding the eye. Gotta see how that holds up. And vs Ugas is a crazy way to test it as he is extremely underrated in my opinion.

I don't know bout washed though. Both he and Spence haven't been in the ring for a while due to injuries. I think Thurman is in much better shape than Spence these days simple due to their lifestyle (not that I know either of them personally). Thurman looks to take better care of his body than Spence in between fights. The party life takes a toll on any athlete. It effects their judgement, views, and ultimately their activity in their sport.
