Scorecards were beyond bogus. Russell won at most 4 Rds and for sure lost the 12th.

Magsayo needs to fight with more urgency and stop fighting to the level of his opponent. He look excellent the first 4 Rds. He was out jabbing Russell and countering to the body nicely. Then after Russell hurt his arm he reverted to lunging and throwing one punch at a time.

That’s my point exactly! As fans of course we’d like to see more of him! But to say he isn’t successful for hate’s sake is short sighted and ignorant. That’s why I asked, “based on what?” Maybe he is completely fulfilled and reached his personal goals and dreams. As I said, financially he may have achieved what he wished for and never had to work another day. Profession wise he attained world champion status. Personally, married and as you said a family man. Upsets happen, that's boxing. GRJ fought a close fight with only 1 arm tho, and I'd expect him to win if they ever fought a rematch. Props to magsayo for pulling it off, but he hardly looked impressive. Would u pick magsayo over navarette or LSC? I wouldn't. Honestly I'd pick Vargas and Figueroa over him too. He's not a bad fighter, he's just not elite. I'm happy he got the win tho, hopefully this shakes up the division a lil. We might even get lucky and get the LSC GRJ fight now.
