There should be only one face, one name, one world champion per weight class.

It's really very simple to understand if you love the sport. But this fat slug only loves money and sanctioning fees.

I absolutely agree with Inspired. The boxing channels should hound him and not let him breath when it comes to his corruption, be the righteous voice of the people and shame him until he changes his ways.

I think Papa Sulaiman is rather proud of his son.

Quoting from Wikipedia: Sulaiman was also a very controversial figure. Journalist Matthew Hurley wrote, "How he was ever voted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame is beyond me."

Sulaiman had been accused of corruption numerous times. For example, many in the boxing community had accused the WBC of bending its rules to suit promoter Don King. The journalist Jack Newfield wrote that Sulaiman "became more King's junior partner than his independent regulator." Another journalist, Peter Heller, echoed that comment, writing, "Sulaiman...became little more than an errand boy for Don King." Heller quoted British promoter Mickey Duff as saying, "My complaint is that José Sulaimán is not happy his friend Don King is the biggest promoter in boxing. Sulaiman will only be happy when Don King is the only promoter in boxing."

After Pernell Whitaker lost a controversial decision to Jose Luis Ramirez in 1988, Whitaker's trainer, Lou Duva, called Sulaiman "a thief" and Whitaker's manager, Shelly Finkel, said, "King and Sulaiman fixed the fight, no question about it."

And, in any case, I don't think the other sanctioning bodies are any good, WBA being the very worst.

Corruption and boxing go hand in hand
Always been and always will be
Sr favoured one promoter just like today with the WBO favouring the Bobfather etc etc
But having 4 title’s per division or whenever you feel the need you throw in a new belt ( diamond , franchise ) , that sir is a fughin highway robbery
And nobody can even say anything because so many are willing to use these titles for their own reasoning
The question is when will this bullchit stop

I agree with every single word you wrote, especially the first two sentences.
So my point is: why are we singling Sulaiman out when the other organizations do even worse, especially the WBA?
The WBA is calling Trevor Bryan vs Jonathan Guidry a world title fight, without an ounce of shame. This is just an example.
They have bazillions of "world champions" divided into regular, interim, temporary, etc. in the same weight classes.
When will this bullshėt stop, you ask. My answer is, I believe it will never stop.
Like in the rest of the world, those who handle big money dictate the "rules", and want more and more of that money.
Normal people - meaning lower-level fighters - will always be attracted by those meaningless belts.
Remember the WBU? There were nobodies around at that time who called themselves "world champions" because they had won a WBU belt against some human relic.
Then, when they went up in level, they would inevitably get destroyed by the real champs.
Honestly, I don't see a future without this mess. I hope I'm wrong.

The only reason why Sulaiman gets props here is cause he’s the most outspoken and constantly n the spotlight
But I definitely agree with you , they are all cancerous for the sport
Heck forget the WBU , I recall when the WBO meant fugh all and when those guys stepped up they gotta new one ripped
its unfortunate but I think we’re in to deep and nothing. can be really done to fix it

This I agree with. All orgs are corrupt as hell and the media and boxing channels never do their part by calling them out. In the end its bigger news by calling them out instead of all of them acting like fan boys instead of pushing the truth. It seems like the media is agenda driven just as bad as the people running the orgs.

That’s not really a title fight for the real belt though between Bryan and whoever that guy is . Belts are just for the fighters to make more money you can’t have one champion because there’s to many fighters . The WBA is excessive though at least the WBC makes it clear there’s only one main champion beyond that franchise crap but when you start having Regulsr and Super champions that’s when the fans start scratching their heads .
