Their boots should be nailed to the floor and we should do away with rounds.

          Soccer pitches vary.

They have minimums and maximums like boxing.

Cause it’s one of the ways to manipulate the game. Same goes for standardizing boxing gloves.

The A side fighter usually gets the say. If your a counter puncher like Canelo or Mayweather you want a bigger ring to move without getting caught on the ropes. If your a power puncher like a GGG or Wilder you will push for a smaller ring so you can stay in close range and pressure the other guy.

glove size is not negotiated. It is regulated by the ABCs. Typically up to 147 wears 8oz, and over that wears 10oz.

Glove BRAND can be negotiated, as Floyd and other marquee fighters have done, forcing opponents to wear a particular brand.

Then I assume a sensible size is agreed upon where the little guys are not fighting on a soccer field and the giants aren't rubbing bellies ?

On the top professional cards, its the main event fighters that determine ring size in nearly all cases
