How do you know? The pre-Roach version of Khan is a completely different fighter from the post-Roach Khan, and he's improving in every fight. Lots of hall of famers had weak chins. There's a hell of a lot more to boxing than the strength of your chin. And in any case, most of his chin problems pre-Roach were down to appalling lack of the fundamentals of professional boxing, rather than to any physical defect.

Has no one read the article? The article isn't about Maidana fighting Khan, it's about Maidana fighting a top 10 Jnr Welterweight in November, and then the winner of that fight fighting Khan. Maidana wouldn't be the favourite to beat most of the fighters who are trying to get the November date to fight him, which means Khan may well end up with a mandatory fight against someone other than Maidana.

dont worry dave i read it...maidana is not technical boxer from what i observed in his fight against ortiz but he has heart and a **** load of it at that if he does get the fight with khan he will most likely be overwhelmed with khans speed but khan doesnt really have a lot of power and if this fight ever does take place then i see either a decision win from khan or a KO from maidana those are the only two outcomes i see if this fight ever takes place

Wtih the WBA rating and a chance to fight Khan for good money I can see everybody wanting to get involved. Besides Salita, Khan and Maidana are highly beatable opponents.

Maidana can defo KO khan, but khan has grown alot since prescott....

But this would defo set up an interesting match, you would never know whats going to happen...also maidana isnt exactly know to be solid chinned, Ortiz also knocked him down was it twice?....I think khans power is being overlooked..it wasnt going to look great against kotelnik, but its there...

Most likely but he would lose every second of every round before it happens. The only way Kahn can win in my view is to fight very cautiously and avoid being hit clean with anything....it would be difficult but possible.

Khan can definately outbox Maidana; he's improved under Roach and dropped his trading/crowd pleasing style.

Still, he's no James Toney in the ring defensively and I'm not so sure that he can go twelve rounds and not get hit atleast a few times by Maidana.

                    I think it's a fairly even fight.

I personally think Khan should fight Hatton/ Witter after defending his title then take on Maidana or some one else .... This way he will have more experience to mix with best fighters.
