Maidana Targeted By Many For "Amir Khan" Opportunity

WBA interim-junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana has a target on his back. Not because of his current status, but because of his current position to champion Amir Khan. Golden Boy Promotions is trying to put Maidana in the co-feature spot to the Lucian Bute-Librado Andrade rematch on November 28 on HBO. There is no official word if Maidana will get on the show. An issue with the overseas television may prevent him from fighting that night. That still hasn't stopped every junior welterweight from trying to get the fight. [details]

I use to think Khan was overrated. Now i starting to think he is becoming underrated. I know Khan chin is made of glass. But nice size, he can box, he has skills. I think fans are making too much of a big deal cuz of the Prescott fight. But, I think what was forgotten that Khan really is the better fighter. He just got caught by a hard hitter.

Maidana is a better, stronger, more powerful version of Prescoot.

Khan has improved, it'd be interesting to see if he's good enough to handle the heat Maidana will bring. The guy has pop and can throw 1000+ if you stand in front of him, dangerous combination, but Khan can and will potshot and give lateral movement for 12. Maidana's shot would slow him down though.
