I guess i'm in the minority of people thinking if you sign multiple contracts to a company then that's on you. He should have left if he thought Arum was a racist or bad for his brand. We all know Top Rank is great for building fightrs from the ground floor and when they get huge like Floyd or Oscar, they're better off leaving and making their own way. A kid like Stevenson should be a star over the next couple years if built up the right way. The cream always rises to the top though regardless. either you have the fans or you don't. Stevenson just fought for a title so he got a shot already, it's not like he's sitting around fighting stiffs still.
To be fair, Valdez vs Navarrete is a good scrap also and the winner fighting Stevenson would be big later this year. Valdez team may also just not want the fight right now . If Bob has options we all know he's gonna string stuff along and make 4 fights instead of 1 matching people up the long way before getting to the fight we really want. I think Stevenson will be fine, he has a few options at 130 and if he moves to 135 he will have Loma, Davis, and possibly Kambosos still there in a years time. 2 of those fights I think can get done and if Loma somehow gets all the belts back it would be a huge fight late 2023
