Who are the best slowest fighters like Danny Garcia for example

Ok, so I got Danny who is slow on foot as well as slow with the hands. Beterbiev is also quite slow both with the hands and the feet. Back in the day Foreman was pretty slow as well. GGG is not the fastest either especially with his power shots but his jab is pretty fast so he does appear faster in general. A lot of current heavies are slow so no point in listing them really as they are not top 5 anyway. So who else either today or in the past was slow yet has/had a very good boxing career. JCC maybe?

PS: Yordenis Ugas is very slow, I forgot all about him. Loses almost all sparring sessions handily against guys like Teofimo, Shakur and Linares out of all people yet does very well under the lights. Still though a very slow fighter in my opinion.

I forgot Yordanis Ugas. He is a very slow fighter as well. I've seen him getting boxed silly by Teofimo, Shakur and Linares out of all people but he does come through under the bright lights.

Danny is slow but he’s got good timing and that’s more important than speed. Look how fast Khan is and he’s been slept in every weight class he’s ever fought in.

I get it man, this is not to diss on Danny or any slower than average fighter with a good career. This is just to see who are the best slowest fighters. You dig?!?

Ironically the other "Swift", Jarrett Hurd, is not particularly swift (his nickname came from the swifter mop and not his speed).

Joe Joyce is my favorite slow guy right now.

edit: just saw u dont want HWs listed, adding to the post to list others

since you're asking for the best, maybe not all are legit "slow" but I think will be quite e, or have already shown to be, quite a bit slower than the other top fighter(s) around them (*it doesn't always matter once the bell rings as we know)

Beterbiev is a good one so I'm going with Navarette, Joe Smith, Errol Spence. No surprise with Smith I don't think, ..... Nav and Spence are my tougher takes because they are both clearly good fighters. But if I'm looking at Nav vs Shakur - how can I not notice that speed gap. And since you listed Ugas we can use that upcoming fight to give the Spence idea another test. You got Danny G as being slow and I don't think Spence was looking that much faster in that one. He''s usually putting the pressure on so it's no slight to him. Like you allude to with mentioning hand/footspeed, there are crazy degrees to speed and how it comes together so this one can get murky.

              past:

Froch, not slow with every shot but he for sure thought he was faster than he was. I always used to get a kick out of the look he had when he found out his opponent was way faster than him; like it didn't compute, he really thought he was the speedster out there.

one of my favorite slow guy performances: Baldomir in the Zab fight - I haven't watched that fight in years but I just remember Baldomir couldn't miss even though he was so slow. Zab was reacting, making the defense move...but the punch was only half-way there. It would only barely be arriving after Zab thought it was arriving, then bam right in his face over and over again

Active and noticiably tensed to watch because of their slow battering:

Joyce. Hregovic. Joe Smith Jr. Murata. Badou Jack. Hurd, Angulo.

I wouldnt include Beterbiev nor DSG.
