This ain’t about Canelo and it ain’t about showtime. It’s about Espinoza making himself executive director and producer of these fights and getting himself a check every time the fight gets shown. Not a single network is going to turn a profit on Canelo outside of sponsors and maybe resale value. They don’t have the leverage and his fans would suck each other through a straw to see him didn’t even a can of soup from what has become glaringly obvious around here. Espinoza is securing his retirement house maintenance payments via these fighters by slapping his name on the fights and fight rights. He ain’t dumb, you don’t deal with Schaefer That long and don’t get tied to the long money. Long after Canelo forgets these fights the network will be cutting Espinoza a royalty check. Let that sink in.
