Boxing fans are smarter and poorer than MMA fans. That's why they don't/can't buy PPVs.

Absolutely! MMA are way better fans it is not even close

I don't think THE SPORT OF BOXING in general has many fans as a whole, only certain BOXERS have fans so that is the difference. Compared to MMA Fans who do have the favorites but seems to enjoy the sport more as a whole and they actually Support their Women Fighters as well. Boxing Fans Complain...A LOT! On Other Forums in the MMA Section, of course you have your Loser Trolls, those guys are everywhere on the Internet but for the most part...totally different from Boxing Fans

That Mayweather and Pacquiao ERA RUINED the sport of boxing going forward IMO! Everything is just about picking aside and trashing the opposing side, it is ZERO Respect in this sport from Fans, Promoters, Boxing Media...it is all TRASH! Old Childish Men who feel tough disrespecting fighters on the internet but face to face these are the same losers who are like "Can I Get A Interview With You Champ" "Can I Get A Picture With You Champ"

So Yeah I don't like None Of You! lol I'm still only here because outside of the his forum, the boxing section on other Forums and is completely Dead further proving the lack of Boxing Fans As A Whole

You can say that's because Canelo is not nearly as popular nor does he have the amount of devoted (non-Mexican) fans as people think.

Remember this iconic image of 'Nelo's PPV fight being delayed to allow the Masvidal vs Nate Diaz fight to be done lol

I think it’ll be similar when McGregor returns, I think they’ll give him guys with a name who are damaged goods. Someone like Tony Ferguson and then maybe Diaz 3 if he gets through El Cucuy.

I think that was just DAZN being ****** tbh. Canelo is a much bigger star than Masvidal or Diaz. There’s a reason Canelo got 35m for Kovalev whilst Masvidal and Diaz had to split 1m.

yeah if he cant beat the top guys then there could be good fights with less dangerous guys if mac wants to keep going, why not if he wants to, he can still sell a show im sure

You regularly see guys in MMA lose 2,3 in a row then win one, get a title shot and win that.

I think in MMA they understand, styles make fights, a lot of fighting is on the night and a loss doesn't mean you are finished. In boxing especially because of Floyd, losses are the end of the world.

He’s still their biggest star by a long way. He could probably walk straight into a title shot if he wanted to. I think Dana will want to play the long game though.

It is higher in boxing, in mixed martial arts people will just become a fan of whoever is dominating, or the next big prospect 'It is like the way people who buy Iphones or buzz off Apple products, will continually just keep buying the next new product soon as it comes along'.

That is what happens in the UFC and Mixed Martial Arts at a much higher rate than in boxing.

Yes you have a lot of band wagon riders in boxing, you have all witnessed it here on this forum. Most recently with Anthony Joshua 'You watch how the fans that turned on him will all pipe up again, once he beats Uysk in the rematch'.

So in boxing you do have a lot of those type of fans, but then you get your loyal fans who 'Might just support a fighter, because they have a rapport with them'. It is not about the world titles or big fights 'It is just about supporting the fighter, and being apart of the roller-coaster'.

You don't really get that in Mixed Martial Arts, because there is only really one level of competition. In boxing you have elite level, World Class, European and Domestic level fighting 'And it is all covered'.

There is never a big domestic fight in Mixed Martial Arts, why is that? You never see fights being marketed as, big domestic fights. Because nobody cares in that sport about domestic level fights, nobody cares about European level fights 'People only care about super elite level, that is it'.

The last real fighter, I had a rapport with was David Haye. I may like or want some fighters to do well these days, but I would not say that I am hardcore supporter of any fighter.

So Mixed Martial Arts fans are a lot like consumers of clothes and technology products 'Those people that camp outside shops for the new Iphone, or Playstation or whatever'. There are boxing fans who's loyalty runs so deep, once their fighter retires they will never view the sport the same again.

I know for a fact that there are Tyson Fury fans on this forum, I won't call these people out. But I know if they are honest with themselves, once Tyson Fury loses if he loses 'They will be deeply affected, and they will never participate in these forums or view boxing the same way ever again'.

You will not see this in Mixed Martial Arts, those fans are more loyal to the brand than the fighters.
