Conor McGregor is 1-3 over his last 4 fights, yet as soon as he's back from injury and fights again he'll have one of the highest selling PPVs of the year not even a question. I can't think of any boxer who could go through a run like that and still have that much support. Why is that?

he built up a fanbase with his trashtaking and antics i suppose and his name value is still there plus losing in mma is much more common than in boxing as fighters have little say in who they fight, they just have to show up, most know hes just a side show at this stage -

I have a few friends who were interested in conor a couple of years ago but aren't interested in his fights anymore and say he's not an elite fighter anymore. I don't think he has that "it" factor anymore I think it's long gone.
Mike Tyson had better fan loyalty than any fighter in Combat Sports History imo.

MMA fans genuinely have less intelligence IMO. I’m not sh**ting on MMA fans- I’m one myself but I think they’re not as savvy as the boxing fans.
