I hope I'm wrong, but I see this as another Luis Ortiz case,
where he was promised Wilder rematch and fed scrubs meanwhile.
In this case, Cruz was promised the Tank rematch.

With all the bad blood between Oscar De La Hoya and Haymon there’s no way they come together even for a mega fight much less this one.
Maybe Hearn can get it done but Oscar would have to be cut out.
I think Garcia is too much for Cruz if his head is on straight.

Osca & Ryan is just using Pitbul name to prompt some bravado buzz since he’s hot off the Gervonta Davis bout. This is all Ryan talking & Osca promoting. Nothing serious will become of it. Just trying to put Ryan back in the highlights.

PBC have no plan, they have a massive (the biggest) potential viewership but no plan to get them to watch . There guys neeed more big free to air fights, or cheaper ppv fights, or cross platform fights or something ... before you start 80 dollar ppvs.

They should, and by the looks of it,need to start allowing more cross promotional fights like you mentioned. You can't keep the majority of your stable tied to one island and expect it to thrive. This isn't UFC. That type of monopoly doesn't work in boxing and it never will, there's too many hands in the cookie jar. Al/PBC has failed at the attempt and should just, suck it up,bring back the ball they ran off with and make fights that benefit thier fighters more so than the "brand".

It's readily apparent PBC is having financial woes with all these PPV's, and this whole "because fox needs 4 PPV's a yr doe!!" Is nonsense imo. Theyre left trying to feed thier rather large stable solely off Showtimes budget, which the majority of seems to have been eaten up by the huge payouts to Wilder and Canelo and it isn't enough.

Lift the "in-house only" horse****,play ball and allow other promotional outfits carry some of that financial burden both to themselves and us as fans/viewers. Seems like a win win if you ask me...

What do people do when they get called on their BS? They spin a different narrative to make themselves look good. That's all that's going on here. Cruz called the kid out, people here said he'd never take the fight. To their surprise, Garcia was with it and his team sent an offer. Now the Cruz team is trying to spin the whole thing to find a way out with their dignity in tact. It won't work and they should be called on it by fans .

"Speculation suggests that he will wind up facing a fellow Golden Boy-promoted lightweight in the event he and Cruz are unable to come to terms."

              -Let it be William Zepeda.

It won't be. They won't put 2 of their younger guys with talent in with one another. They don't have enough of a roster to let one take the L at this point.

Cruz vs Garcis should get made. They both claim to want the fight, GB claims to have made an offer which it seems Cruz team has validated. Now they gotta work it out and get it on

I agree. I don't see why this fight can't happen.

Clear as day both camps want the fight done in their own backyard. You're fooling yourselves discussing this any further.

OK, so all the guys on here are fed up with criticising boxers & coaches & saying 'he should've thrown more counter rights' & 'he should've sent him out to get a KO in the 9th' & moved onto criticising contract lawyers 'he should've re-written clause 24(e)(i)'.

If it happens it happens, if it don't, move on. Lets be honest, this is Ryan Garcia v Isaac Cruz NOT Errol Spence v Bud Crawford.
