It's not a disruption at all. It's just Super Cruiserweight under a cute name, with anybody weighing under the Super Cruiserweight limit still allowed to compete at heavyweight if they want to.
It's the first weight class they've added since Super Middleweight in 1990. It's not a big deal. Just makes things more fair for smaller heavyweights who don't want to give up 60 pounds. Many of whom are very talented fighters who would welcome the opportunity to compete against guys their own size.Comment

Well, I couldn't disagree more. Usyk and Holyfield and Mike Tyson have shown that there is no need for brdgerweight.

If people want to make changes to favor smaller heavyweights then just bring back 15-round title fights.Comment

They haven't shown that at all. Usyk has never won the WBC heavyweight title and is completely irrelevant. Just because he beat Joshua doesn't mean he wouldn't get destroyed by Fury. Joshua was never good enough to win the WBC heavyweight title either.
Mike Tyson knew he had NO CHANCE against WBC mandatory Lennox Lewis, because he was too big and too skilled, so Tyson vacated the WBC heavyweight title.
Holyfield bulked up using tons of illegal steroids to have success at heavyweight, which lead to heart problems. Even with all of the steroids, he still couldn't handle the size of Lennox Lewis and Fury is even bigger than that.
Even if once and a while there are smaller heavyweights who can compete with the WBC's biggest and baddest, you're forgetting about all of the fighters who stood no chance whatsoever and were never allowed to compete against guys their own size like everyone else gets to do.Comment

It's a fact. The WBC is undefeated in heavyweight unifications.
But the WBC has, by far, the strongest list of heavyweight champions. It's the fighter, not the belt.
UK fanboys have decided to go back in time and pretend Stiverne wasn't a top opponent, but the truth is that he was regarded as the #2 heavyweight in the world at the time.Wilder won it from Stiverne. Hardest to win?Comment

It's a pointless fact. I can think of Lewis and Tyson (neither of whom are a good example of the the belt being the hardest to win).
It barely happens, and it's nothing to do with an elevated status of the WBC Champion.Comment
