I believe that is very prudent of Chisora's trainer. It wouldn't be wise to put Del Boy in with a very hard puncher like Deontay Wilder at this stage of his career. He's lost 12 times and has been stopped in at least three of them.

Is a Chisora finally tired of being a punching bag?

Tyson knocked out Francis Botha, with a punch which traveled only a few inches 'Bad intentions with every single punch'.

Since Wilder seemingly increased his weight, the correlation has not really translated into more punching power.

It almost appears as if, his power decreased. But we will not really know until? Wilder fights some of these other top fighters, or Tyson Fury fights some of these other top fighters.

I don't really class Kronk Fury as peak Fury, he is all over the place 'Clumsy, and I think his endurance is overrated'.

This is the only reason why now his fights are appearing more dramatic, and chaotic 'His regression as a fighter'.

Fat-ass-Kronk-smash is the right style for Fury vs Wilder. But I don't think it's right for any other top fighters. Wilder has that very long-range, flashing, fast-ball right hand that he times very well. Boxing outside just gives Wilder a bunch of opportunities to catch you, so you go pound and hang on him and his skinny-ass chicken legs.

But if Fury comes in that slow and fat again, with such poor balance, against the better guys out there, he could be in trouble. Probably still beats most of them, but will take more heavy shots in a few fights than he has in his whole career to date.

But a Fury at 255-260, boxing again, with his herky-jerk back, with good head movement, with that 85" reach, out-points everyone out there. Then he can pick his moments to go Kronk-smash.

Alas, I think Fury has fallen in love with the pressure style. Although I doubt he comes in that fat again, so that will help his balance.

So far in 2022 I haven't heard of any fighter actually accepting a fight . Every other article on the scene here is about how one fighter rejected a fight with another fighter. Great start to the year

Interesting thought. Quite possible. A lot of time has passed since the pre-Wilder days, and a lot of weight has been gained too. I guess we'll see.

Yes, he has an amazing heart, maybe he could pull something off, but at what cost to his health and and for what? It's not like he's going to make a tilt at title.
Wilder is 36, so the age difference is slight. I do agree that he is a high-risk opponent for anyone though. Deontay may find it difficult to find any dance partners outside of mandatory bouts with a champion. He probably doesn't want anything other than a tune up then try to challenge for a belt again anyway.

Chisora is pretty durable, and it doesn't take a big puncher to hurt Wilder. Frankly, both guys could be near the exit from boxing.
