This was arguably the best win of his career

Ortiz probably would’ve been champ if he had the chance to fight Aj. Unfortunately, I think the window has closed for him.

Yeah the "Old Man" is still very dangerous with that Power in that Left Hand but yeah his legs and balance was all over the place. However, shouldn't get praise for getting up twice and STOPPING Martin too. While he was dropped, Ortiz still never looked like he was in trouble and ready to go or anything.

Hopefully he does get the Fury Fight, I wouldn't mind that fight AT ALL honestly!

'These guys are not the same level. Hughie is a contender, Demirezen is a fringe contender, Rice is a good journeyman, Babic is a bum.'

I understand what you're saying, but based on his record surely Hughie can't be any more than a fringe contender? Rice says he's giving up his job to commit 100% to boxing. He has the basic skills & physicality to be up there. Would you put good money on Hughie or Demirezen v a motivated Rice? I know I wouldn't. Babic, I hear what you're saying but he is a pit-bull with a pit-bull mentality. Babic is what Kownacki was being built up to be.

Hughie Fury has been a professional for 9 years. His best win is Mariusz Wach & to call Wach faded is a huge understatement. His second best win is Christian Hammer. I leave it to others to comment. His third best win would be a toss-up between 2 Sams, either Sam Sexton, who I remember being brutalised by a young Chisora 12 years ago & has never even remotely claimed to be anything above British title level, or Sam Peter who peaked when he beat James Toney 15 years ago & these days really should not be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring both for his physical health & his reputation.

He's a glass cannon at this point. Can still counter effectively, but is slow, and his punch resistance looks terrible.

BS. With capital, hearns offered the fight, never delivered. Uncle Al, did it twice.

Nope he isn’t championship material. He can mix it up with fellow contenders though.

Nothing special on beating Charles Martin, I thought that he was going to do it in 3 rounds, but somehow he was dropped two times. I like hi style but if CM dropped him, any level above of him will Knock him out for good.

It is not all about records. Hughie was also in Parker/Povetkin/Pulev fights, giving all of them a good fight. Parker was WBO championship fight.

Babic, Rice and Demirezen were never in fights like that.
