    The Dillian Whyte Saga

#1 - Dillian Whyte wins a semi-final eliminator against Robert Helenius and becomes WBC silver champion. Hearn begins lying to the public and claiming being silver champion makes you the mandatory (it doesn't) and that Whyte-Helenius was a final eliminator (it wasn't).

#2 - Whyte begins turning down a series of final eliminators because Hearn doesn't want to risk losing a purse bid and not being able to control the ref and judges for one of Whyte's fights.

#3 - Whyte uses threats of lawsuits to become interim champion in a fight where he was using performance enhancing drugs and unapproved gloves. Hearn begins lying to the public and claiming the interim title entitles you to 45% (it doesn't) and Whyte was entitled to the next title shot (he wasn't).

#4 - Whyte is knocked out cold by an over the hill Povetkin.

#5 - Whyte knocks out an even more over the hill Povetkin who had his lungs ravaged by covid and could barely stand. Whyte files a $400,000 purse with the WBC for this fight.

#6 - Hearn doesn't bother to go to the WBC convention and doesn't send a representative either. The WBC convention is where all the promoters meet to lobby for mandatory shots, purse bid splits, etc.

#7 - With nobody in attendance to argue for Matchroom's position, Top Rank's representative successfully argues that the 70/30 split should be changed to 80/20 due to Fury making 15x more than Whyte in their last fights.

And now finally, on January 11 we will have the moment of truth. Will Fury-Whyte take place on DAZN? On ESPN? On Fox? On Showtime? On Triller? We'll find out soon!

If Team Whyte thought he could beat Fury, they’d jump on the 20%

Whyte became mandatory in July 2019 and the mandatory was due February 2020. But Whyte failed a drug test and got suspended, so at the WBC convention at the end of 2019, with Whyte's case still on going, Wilder was made mandatory for February 2020, with Whyte's shot due February 2021 if he was cleared of wrong doing. But he got knocked out cold in August 2020, ending his tenure as mandatory.

Well put but I’d argue #4 is being charitable. Sasha was shot to bits prior to that fight. Still stopped Whyte cold with a single shot.

And this is just the WBC.

Don't forget he also turned down the IBF eliminator with Pulev and then a unified title shot against Joshua.

His plan since day one was to try to get an interim belt and then have it elevated to a full title without fighting a champion in the ring.

He's been trying to politic his way to a title and it's been extremely transparent to anyone paying attention. Shameful behavior and I hope it doesn't work.

Whyte didn’t fail a drug test under WBC guidelines ,they revoked that . He failed under UKAD . What are the WBC policies for beating a current mandatory ?
