By the time of the trilogy bout Wilder was already damaged goods. The beating he sustained in their second bout both physically and perhaps even permanently ruined him with those open gloves while punching with a closed fist through the non-padded areas and the padless gloves he used to punch Wilder with his bare knuckle fists.

In my view, if Fury reverts back to moving and boxing -- he's going to need to drop back to 260 or so, as his movement and balance looked bad in Wilder 3 -- he should have a fairly easy fight vs Whyte.

But if he's fallen in love with the fat-ass-pressure-Kronk-smash style, then he still is likely to win, but he's going to get hit, and the chance of Whyte catching him and putting him down is non-zero.

Great comment. I pick Whyte to win in fire fight (Fury does not have KO power) and I don't see Fury being that mobile anymore. However, he is altogether a more solid unit these days and if he wins, I think it can only be by KO. Otherwise, Whyte catches up with him.

Eddie Hearn is the second most negligent/clueless negotiator in boxing (behind Oscar de la Hoya). He spent MONTHS working out the deal for Joshua-Fury all while taking Arum at his fucking word that the arbitration would without a doubt rule in Fury's favor. When has it EVER been wise to to take Bob ****in' Arum at his word? Hearn was left looking like an utter fool.

Hearn also doesn't have a fraction of the influence Arum does on the WBC.

Either drop the belt or go over and fight Dillian Whyte on DAZN because there is no doubt that this fight is heading to a purse bid and Matchroom is going to win it. ESPN will forbid Fury from fighting on another platform on foreign soil with Eddie Hearn at the helm. What a way to screw Top Rank if he does? After all, it was Bob Arum who got him that WBC title in the first place.

I have to strongly disagree. That cheeky bastard is somewhere lurking in the dark to steal this fight from Top Rank, Arum and Warren; Which is why Bob and Tyson Fury both said that if Whyte doesn't agree to sit down and negotiate in good faith then Fury is going to vacate the title. They know what Eddie Hearn is up to. He just can't wait until January 11th to roll around so Matchroom can get their hands on the WBC heavyweight title belt and Tyson Fury in the process

Well that strategy certainly backfired on Arum with the Teofimo Lopez/George Kambosos fight. I wonder why he didn't implement that same strategy in that case because Matchroom won that purse bid also?

In any case, you are still averting the issue which is Whyte's $10M demand. If there is no $10M there will be no fight. Yes, they can pay Fury whatever they want but what about Dillian? Do you really believe that Top Rank will acquiesce by allowing themselves to be extorted and arm-twisted by Dillian Whyte's demand of $10?.

This is all a well-orchestrated and concocted plan by Matchroom, Eddie Hearn and DAZN to put the screws to Bob Arum and Frank Warren. The aim of their goal is to sabotage the negotiations by having Whyte price himself out at the bargaining table.

If one cannot see that then I don't know what else to say.
