So all of a sudden, people are not a fan of rematches. Without rematches, some of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport would not of happened.

Joshua vs Usyk has not reached its conclusion, those are the facts.

I can always remember David Price stating to Kash Ali 'If you had been through what I have been through in my career, you would not be sitting here'.

I have always wondered how Fury would react to a loss, would he go for the rematch? Or go the way of Prince Naseem Hamed? And slowly just phase out of the game.

I don't think Fury is afraid of losing a fight, but how he will react to such a situation is unclear.

Totally agree with Frank here . Should the unlikely happen and Tyson gets beat he will still be very marketable and so then would be Whyte and they could then go to the highest bidder for a rematch or move on to different opponents . Hearn is a typical spoilt brat who has the 'it's my ball' mentality where you have to beat his fighter at least twice and then let him have all sorts of ridiculous future options to adhere to from Hearn. Wouldn't it be better for boxing IF Usyk was now matched with Tyson in march for all the marbles after having beaten Joshua so emphatically in the first fight that Joshua hasn't a clue himself of how to go about reversing that lopsided decision where he very nearly got stopped by the relatively light hitting career cruiserweight. Hearns business plan for his fighters is good for himself and sometimes his fighter but like the Benn situation we get Hearn talking about world titles for the lad in 2022 but then we find him calling out just three fighters (Brook, Broner and Khan, all way best their best ) after beating a semi retired 37 year old .Good luck to Benn who has a lot to learn but then Hearn wants him top of the bill in PPV fights before his time against shot fighters .....This IS Eddie Hearn!!!

Negotiations seem to have been a nightmare already with whyte a rematch clause wouldn't make those talks easier.

rematch clauses are not common for mandatory challengers. Its usually the champion that requests rematch clause in his defenses, if top rank/warren are confident enough to not put one in then thats on them, why would that be a Hearn problem? Whyte requesting a rematch clause should he lose is just going to cause him to lose the fight at this rate. Time is running out to get this deal done and id rather watch whyte v fury then Helenius v Fury which is just a time waste of a fight.

Whyte was not requesting a rematch its a long conversation but the jist is the interviewer asked why Warren was not asking for a rematch and in general Hearn said he should but that he really wasn't because he knew Dylan would not give him one.

Whyte would have some bargaining power if he wasn't knocked out twice already, by Joshua and Povetkin.

He's no boogeyman, but he thinks he is.

Fury already did have a rematch where he came back from a loss. Against John mcDermott.

Arum derailed Loma's career by not inserting the rematch clause. He's running the same risk here. Hearn is right - it's irresponsible.

No, he's talking garbage. The rematch clause Hearn was referring to would have been for Fury, not Whyte.

If Fisheyes and Bobby Liar had handled Fury's business properly, by formally terminating the rematch clause he had with Wilder when they had the chance last December, Fury would have picked up £100million+ for unifying with AJ and would almost certainly be the unified HW champion of the world right now.
