You know this fighters don't speak English. And most of them do, whatever their team tells them. They came from an oppressed country, and you show them a little bit of freedom, and they are in heaven.

He may luck out and get a final elimination bout which took years to happen since Wilders losses .

I wonder if Sanchez knows there’s elimination bouts before title shots ? He’s looking at a good 2 years time if he takes no losses.
Social media call outs. To PBC fighters that's a call out. They must think they're fighting in fields and cattle sheds.

Hopefully with Rematchroom removed from clinging onto belts outside of the ring by early summer the division can move on with a bit more freedom, still 23 is more realistic.
& you know when Usyks beaten Aj again the wba will chirp up with a Helenius etc mando.
        Who has avoided him?

Now that Sanchez has a foot in the door I suspect being over there he will be protected and served easy touches . Hammers a last minute replacement but Negron is no better ,look at the undercard all the known guys are in lopsided matches and it’s a PPV . Hopefully Martin can bring it that night and if he does it could be a great fight and maybe not make the purchasers feel they threw money away entirely .

I would say Hammer is an upgrade from Negron.

Maybe but I know Negron can punch , Hammer is a walking heavy bag and Negron isn’t that bad he’s very savvy but limited . I guess it’s who shows up when . Negron also trains with team Ortiz daily , Hammer reminds me of the guy that wakes up and goes with the wind ?

Sanchez looked really good against Ajagba. He has good skills for sure but Ajagba got exposed in the Demirezen fight. He won it by a wide UD but the scorecards were a joke as it was much closer as i had it 6-4 Ajagba. Demirezen was coming on in the later rounds. He took Ajagba’s best shots & kept coming forward. At that point I stated it was only a matter of time before someone exposes Ajagba. It was Sanchez who did it. Ajagba had beat some good journeymen in Rodney Hernandez, Mansour (washed up version), Wallisch, Kiladze, Cojanu, Howard & Rice. Demirezen & Kiladze gave him problems so it was no surprise Sanchez beat him.

Sanchez was a step up & a good opponent to see exactly where the next group of prospect/ next contenders sit in the pecking order. Sanchez has been brought along at the right pace. Sanchez has a couple good wins over notable journeymen in Bisbal, Muliwayi, Dawejko, Howard & Aguilera. Ajagba being his best win.

Hammer is a solid replacement for Negron & he has been on standby for weeks with a possibility of one of the HWs on the card would pull out. He was coming off an arm injury in the Hughie fight so it is obviously healed & Hammer may have been getting some work in the gym knowing he could be fighting. He provides better durability than Negron but Negron has one punch KO power so the danger is always there for a KO upset. Negron has no chin so his fights are always a big KO waiting to happen. Negron can box & punch but the glass jaw has held him back. He reminds me a little of Oleg Maskaev but a poor man’s version as Maskaev has a long resume win or lose.

I rate Sanchez high but for whatever reason I don't particularly like him. He is obviously skilled but seems way too willing to go on cruise control in fights. I cant see him gaining too much of a following and I imagine he won't be worth the trouble for most contenders and champions.

Flores has shown power against inferior competition but folds quickly against the top level. His power would have never been a factor against Sanchez.

Depending on what Hammer shows up, he's displayed grittiness and guile in the past to frustrate higher level opponents.

Well It has been -35 to -40c the last week here in Edmonton, Canada. It will be -30c NYE. With the weather, the hassle for uber/taxi & covid restrictions making last call at 11pm & every out at 12:30 I decided to drop $56.01 Canadian on this HW PPV. Hopefully no more HWs pull out. I will watch the prelims too. 2 undefeated Cuban HW prospects Lenier Pero (5-0) vs Geovany Bruzon (6-0) 8 rounds.

They’re boring and unwatchable. No personality, on or off the ring. They have a safe boxing style, hiding behind a jab. Not the fighters for me as a boxing fan.
