If Bob Arum attorney at law says Whyte doesn't have much of a case, he doesn't have a case. Look how accurate Arum was on the Wilder arbitration, Wilder thought he could force a third Fury fight and Bob said "no way, I'm a lawyer".

Don't forget guys, Bob Arum is also a lawyer.

According to Sky, his PPVs would usually break even at best. Whyte is a network free agent. Both he and AJ can fight anywhere, neither was part of Hearn's DAZN deal. In one of those video interviews, Adam Smith said Sky passed on both of Whyte's last two fights. I forget what year, but I remember when DAZN sent Whyte a really low offer for the Chisora rematch (reportedly 30K), so Whyte undermined Hearn and took it to Showtime.

Who cares.. Fury doesn’t need that damn trinket.. Whyte is not elite, fans wouldn’t be missing anything at all.

Weird options.. Ruiz can´t even get to range before Fury clinches him if necessary. Helenius can´t keep a high pace for more than 2 rds but he´s big, can box (unlike Wilder) and can punch hard with both hands (unlike Wilder). So, Ruiz it is.

Wilder's side believed Joshua-Wilder was a $100,000,000 fight and that Hearn's offer of $12,500,000 was a lowball offer. When Joshua said if it's really a $100,000,000 fight, give me $50,000,000 and I'll sign tomorrow, Showtime put up the $50,000,000 Joshua asked for.

Fury-Whyte was ordered at 80/20. For Whyte to be worth $10,000,000, that would mean it's a $50,000,000 fight ($40,000,000 for Fury and $10,000,000 for Whyte).

In what universe is that fight a $50 million fight? If Fury-Whyte goes to purse bid, nobody is going to bid over $25 million and it's possible nobody even bids $20 million. There's no scenario where Whyte gets $10 million for this fight.

The head of Showtime Sports publicly confirmed the offer was legitimate. Showtime has put up the money for all of the biggest fights in history. They're owned by a publicly traded company. Only a fool would believe that Showtime was lying about the money.

I feel in the long run the Whyte fight happens. They both make better money. It satisfies the WBC and keeps the huge fight for all the marbles with the Usyk/Joshua winner alive. While it can be argued Ruiz is a bigger name, I feel Whyte will be perceived as the better win.

This is just calling out the opposition in the press. Gets them to the table a little desperate, reminding them who is the bigger star. Canelo did this to Saunders, Fury is shooting a warning shot across the bow of Whyte. Fury/Whyte in early Summer.

I'm not sure who other than you would perceive Whyte as a better win. Whyte was knocked out cold just last year by an ancient Povetkin. Whyte has never held a world title. Ruiz is a former unified IBF/Super WBA/WBO world heavyweight champion who lost his titles in a boring decision.

Beating a former unified world heavyweight champion who recently lost his titles by decision will always be perceived as a better win than beating a random contender who just got knocked out cold last year by an over the hill guy.
