Comments Thread For: Arum Slams Whyte's Demands For Fury Fight: Now Considering Ruiz, Helenius As Opponents

Reading through this you see how some are so emotional here. Like I said before, Arum likes to negotiate via the media and you can't believe everything he says. Whyte will ask for 10 million because it is negotiations. He won't get it but he has to aim high.
Let it go to purse bid or Arum has to sweeten the pot. People crying already that Fury will vacate to avoid Whyte is a joke.
Wiki? I can go on wiki right now and change it 3m PPV buys, lol.
Again: Fury vs Wilder 3 did less than 300k PPV buys in the US.
And Fury has NEVER made $15m in a fight in his career.Comment

He won it originally by beating the reigning champion, Wladimir Klitschko. Then he retired, returned, and won it again upon beating Deontay Wilder for the vacant title (Fury and Wilder were, at the time of the fight, ranked in the top 2 across the board by TBRB, Ring Magazine, ESPN, etc; thus, a new lineage began).Comment

What ever you hear anyway is what they want to tell you. Unless you have the contract in front of you to tell me what is really going on.Comment

I doubt many of these guys are gonna wanna risk their rankings if there is no WBC title on the line….other than the Ring Magazine belt, you still really can’t state you win any version of a title if you win. Now if you lose to Fury, you will lose your previous ranking for a real title shot…it’s kind of a lose/lose situation really fighting Fury without the WBC title on the line. Also, Usyk (or Joshua should he win the rematch) are not going to be interested in fighting Fury next if he has dumped the WBC title, they want all the belts, so they will go after whoever holds that title. Then right Fury after for a big money fight. Hopefully this all works out as it should and Fury fights and beats Whyte and keeps his WBC title and fights the winner of Usyk/Joshua for all the belts!Comment

I haven't read what you're talking about, but you do realise that facts and Wikis do not go hand in hand? Anyone can edit them and make anything up. Just saying, very unreliable to rely on a wiki.Comment

The biggest problem for Fury if he dumps the WBC belt is that he will get left out in the cold without the belt. Especially if Whyte wins the title and AJ gets the belts back.
Bob may say that Fury's the boss, but forward 12 months he could be the guy with no belts while there's another person who 'undisputed'... And that just makes a whole lot more mess in boxing... We don't need it!
Stop threatening to drop the belt and make an offer they can't refuse! Or just go to purses.Comment

I don't care how much money they make or who should get what. You guys are emotionally involved in this and doing the crying for Whyte. I hate the negotiations in boxing and only care about the fights.
What ever you hear anyway is what they want to tell you. Unless you have the contract in front of you to tell me what is really going on.
No one is emotionally involved in Whyte. And I’m emotionally involved, then you’re just as emotionally involved for arguing blindly.
Whyte wants what he’s worth and rightfully so.Comment
