Whyte was knocked unconscious by a now retired veteran only two fights ago and made £300,000 in his last fight ....now wants over $10m to fight for a title ......this clown is in cuckoo land .He refused £4 million to fight Joshua for the titles when Eddie Hearn tried to screw him with terms and now has Eddie Hearn is trying to screw everyone by saying this guy who has beaten nobody! earn 45% of a big Fury ( because of Fury) purse. I hope Fury fights Ruiz and leaves this guy Whyte alone to fight for the lower purses he deserves. Let Whyte fight Chisora they are well matched.

Whyte struggled badly with Chisora twice, barely survived fighting Parker, got iced by Povetkin, struggled with Wach, struggled with Helenius..
I don`t know what makes you think Whyte has a chance?

Whyte is not in the driver's seat. Whyte made only 350K for the Povetkin rematch, according to documents he personally filed with the WBC and BBBoC.
People said the same crap with Joshua, when Whyte cried for years to get a rematch, finally gets the rematch, and then wants 8 million - so even Hearn himself turned his back.
Everyone is confusing what the split is. The SPLIT Whyte is fighting for with the WBC, has to do with a purse bid.
Let's say, for argument's sake, it goes to purse bid, and the WBC gives Whyte a 30% slice. Arum wins the rights with a 20 million bid - which is very high for a purse bid - that's only 6 million to Whyte. If it goes to a purse bid, Arum's side has no obligation to make any other concessions - in terms of giving Whyte a slice of PPV, gate, merch, etc. He gets his 6 million and nothing more.Comment

Why was that, why so low, please use your brain. It was because of Covid and limits on crowds. During this period Fury earned zero as he waited for crowds to return. So if we take financial years during that period Fury's return from actual fights was zero. There are lies dammed lies and statistics. Also the excuses are coming in pretty early from Fury's side, they do not want this fight...Comment

Fury’s isn’t vacating ,it’s clear what Arum sneakily is saying . He’s saying no Whyte fight is happening after Furys next fight because they go into the Usyk vs AJ winner .
In short like I thought these guys swerved Whyte and did it very smartly . No one can tell me Helenius is going to give Fury more difficultly it’s just an outright lie but I know there’s going to be that group on here .Comment

Why are you referencing a fight that happened during lockdown? If Fury had fought during the same period he wouldn’t have made more than $1m! There’s a reason why he cancelled his fight against Kabayel.
Also, if we’re going by the money filed to boxing commission - the 3 Fury fights against Wilder had 2m, 3m and 4m guaranteed respectively according to documents submitted to boxing commissions in the US. I don’t care about the bogus PPV figures - those are the guaranteed figures. So what’s the difference?
With AJ, it was a voluntary fight and AJ being a megastar and biggest draw in British boxing history was the shot caller. Fury on the other hand has no proven record of being a draw in the U.K. and Whyte is his mandatory. Heck, Whyte has done better numbers than Fury in the U.K.
BTW, WBC mandatory is like 35% (I might be wrong). That’s the least split he should be offered.Comment

You definitely failed maths in school.
The PPV sold less than 300k hence they never released the numbers. The bogus 650k was for the 2nd fight which didn’t sell more than 450k.
Also, no one asked for that fight and there wasn’t that much demand for it. It didn’t even do 100k on U.K. PPV and cumulatively I’d be shocked if they made $5million from international TV rights.
And with PPV - the money is divided into half with the TV after 10% tax/commission comes off it. So, yes, they have to do at least 1.2million PPV for Fury to make $30m.
There’s a reason why they throw bogus numbers around and they’re NEVER guaranteed big numbers, lol.
Compare that with AJ who’s always guaranteed 8 figures in all his fights.
AJ vs Ruiz 1 - AJ’s guaranteed split was £25m according to what was submitted to the boxing commission.
AJ vs Ruiz 2 - AJ’s guaranteed split was £65 according to what was submitted to the boxing commission
AJ vs Povetkin - £20m guaranteed
AJ vs Parker - £20m guaranteed
Etc.
Why’s Fury always guaranteed 7 figures but somehow they throw bogus 25/30m out there as what he’s making?
Again: Fury has NEVER made $15m in a fight (not pound Sterling) in his career, lol.
They paid all the HWs on the undercard as well, lol.Last edited by BangEM; 12-28-2021, 06:35 PM.Comment

Did Fury not just hold up the division trying to escape a rematch he was contractually obligated to? Fury tries to wriggle free once again.Comment
