Even Canelo sees that this kid don't take boxing 100% serious and called him out on it. "You Can't Play Boxing", you can't just show up thinking Size, Speed and Natural Athleticism alone can win you fights. Not to make light of mental issues but I do remember someone on this forum comparing him to Victor Ortiz, that is so damn Accurate
Who the hell has Cruz defeated to suggest he's a top lightweight and all of a sudden this boogeyman of the division? ? He has gone to decision in 5 of his past 6 fights against club level fighters. The only fighter he beat of note, and barely, was a shot to pieces Vargas who was dragged up to the weight. Tank ****ting the bed against him doesn't mean anything other than Tank ****ting the bed. That Size,Speed,Athleticism AND Power is exactly what is going to separate him from the rest of the class and you don't knockout Campbell if you just "play" boxing do you....

Cruz stops Garcia in less than 6

The pitbull chin checks Ryan Garcia all night long. Isaac Cruz keeps his chin tucked at all times which was why Gervonta had trouble landing clean punches on him; Especially the uppercut while subsequently breaking his hand in the process.

Now just imagine what he would do to King Ry who is a Hell of lot longer than Davis and is a much easier target to hit. Ryan is going to be punching down on the top of Cruz' skull while reinjuring his hand again. While the Pitbull aims at his high torso/midsection.

Not about Pitbull, more so about Ryan Garcia and him seeming to run how mouth and say one thing will turning around and doing another. Stuff like I don't know..
              "I'm Fighting Tank Next"
"No Wait I'm Fighting Pacquaio Next"
"No Wait I'm Fighting Fortuna Next"
... only to not fight any of them

So yeah forgive me for losing all faith in Ryan Garcia as if I don't have any legitimate reason or something lol again the guy who he considers his MENTOR Canelo Alvarez also questioned him while also try to motivate him to take his boxing career more serious

So yeah again this has nothing to do with Pitbull Cruz being a Boogeyman which I never said BUT Pitbull Cruz seems to take his Boxing Career far more serious than Ryan Garcia does currently

Ryan isn't an easier target to hit. He got clipped by Campbell because he has this bad defensive habit of trying to stay out of range from counters by gauging/creating distance by using both arms extended. It worked for him before because he always had the advantage in stature but because Campbell had nearly as much reach as himself, he was able to clip Ryan right on the chin. Cruz doesn't have that length. All Ryan has to do is keep Cruz on the outside with his jab, good to above average I might add or his straight rights and catch cruz's aggressive ass coming in wild like he does. Cruz can tuck his chin in or put on his ear muffs all he wants. Garcia can shoot that rocket left hook of his up top where it just needs to clip the top of Cruzs head like he did Duno or go to the body like he did Campbell...who himself was almost KO'd by a glancing left hook in the round prior....Cruz is EASY WORK homeboy. Only Haney will trouble Ryan.

He's got outside issues just like most fighters do and isn't the first to pull out of a fight because of them. He had a legitimate injury that required surgery so cant really fault him on that. You're right though, the previous one shows lack of discipline and dedication as Canelo has said as much. Having knocked up two broads within a year I suspect those were his "mental issues" but regardless, excuses are like....

Not a fn of Garcia and applaud Cruz' effort vs Davis, but have a feeling if this fight ever comes to fruition that Ryan bets Cruz. Just a hunch

Maybe he can get him with hooks to the body. But like you say he will be hitting that solid dome all night. I want to see this the more I think about it style-wise it's intersting.
