I don't see what he gains from beating these washed up fighters. Even if they think its to early for the likes of Avanesyan there's decent tests at domestic level. Fights against the likes of kongo, essuman, marku and mckinson are better for his development.

He's got to the you of the domestic ladder by avoiding everyone in the top 10.

Sugar Ray Leonard was 23 when he won his first title at 23 vs Winfredo Benitez, Teofimo was 23 when he beat Loma, Oscar was 24 … many of the top guys at 130-147 are under 25 years and you Europeans say “no need to rush” a 25 year old with over 20 fights, while clamoring to fight Broner!!!
How popular or relevant is Broner in the UK? Seriously? Broner of all guys!
They all had notable, sizeable amateur experience. Benn did not. He's learning on the job in the pro game.

They haven't turned it down. They were already in advanced stages of making the Mckinson fight, and asked the WBC to allow them to have that fight first, then the eliminator. And the WBC granted the request.

Hearn knows Benns behind them. He's said it countless times. That's why their building his experience and profile.

I would too. Avanesyan is overrated imo. People slag off the Broner fight, but it's 20,000 sell out at the 02 arena. Avanesyan is not.

The man will sink or swim with a serious contender, and I believe he’s good enough to swim with the best of them. If I’m proved wrong, then fine, he gets a loss. But whatever, losing isn’t the end of the world. He can come back, and some of the best have had losses.

The sport of boxing would be a far better environment for fans if the obstacles to matchmaking got the hell out of the way and let these guys off the leash
It's a gentle incline because he had little amateur experience. He's only started to rise in level in the last four or five fights. You mention sink or swim, but is it not better to make sure, that when he enters deep waters he's ready to swim? I'd say so. Plus Broner is a financial no brainer and raises his profile. It makes complete sense at this stage. I don't like the fight either, but it's sensible for all the right reasons.

Money, profile and experience. Those domestic guys are a backwards step.

Money and profile I agree with, experience no. Beating up washed up fighters doesn't prepare him for world level
