Joshua needs to fight someone else. He clearly lost to Usyk and was in very bad shape at the end. If he steps aside so Fury can drop his WBC belt to fight Usyk that is the peoples choice fight. Joshua needs to fight Wilder and we move down the loser from the top of the rankings and move someone else up. A win by Joshua over Wilder will give him a boost in his confidence if he later fights Fury, or Usyk in a rematch. It is the only way.

I don't know if Joshua is up to fighting Fury or Wilder at this point though. Is that why he is taking the Usyk rematch because he thinks a loss to Fury or Wilder will be a more brutal ending?

This will happen. Usyk will fight anyone. Joshua is owed. In my humble opinion, Fury and his team will not be able to come off the amount of HUGE dollars it would take to get Joshua to step aside even if the Whyte fight falls through. April, May, June or so it does not matter. It will be next. It will be profitable. It will be entertaining. And anything short of an amazing turnaround, Usyk should win many more rounds and hang on to those belts.

I don’t remember anyone ever saying the rematch would be February. It has always been March/April.

But since boxing has been banned in the U.K. for a month - it’s only right it’s in April.

Usyk doesn’t deserve 3 belt after one fight. He needs to earn it by beating AJ twice.

And AJ needs to hang it up if he can’t beat Usyk because he’s mentally shot (Hearn ruined him). Usyk isn’t anything special and following through with any of his punches would’ve put Usyk to sleep. He fought like a lil biiitch and with an amateur style. Rematch shouldn’t be difficult if he doesn’t go there fighting like a biiitch again with that amateur tapping punches style. Hit the guy with bad intentions and get him out of there.
