Jaron Ennis looks great but there is a reason he didn't make the Olympics team

Cause he got beat in the trials by Garry Russell who has a horrible boxing style.
He looks the goods against no talent punching bags. I just don't think he can beat both Terrence and Spence both of whom made the Olympic teams and both of them are proven commodities. So if you have 3 fights against Garry Russell and you lose the 2nd and the 3rd fights and this has been your biggest competition in the past 6 years I just can't pick you to beat proven, equally talented fighters. We haven't seen Boots's condition tested, his chin tested, his heart tested, his size tested. He's been the most carefully matched prospect really.

How you fight in the amateurs compared to the pros is so different that they're pretty much not even the same sport. You can have a guy that is **** in the amateurs and end up being amazing in the pros. Likewise, you can have a phenomenal amateur boxer who stinks it up in the pros.

Boots is an incredible boxer, and I think that he's going to be ducked for some time to come. He is going to suffer from GGG syndrome so that when he does get the big fights, he's going to be 35 years old.

Some fighters have styles or attributes better suited to the pro ranks. And you get incredible amateurs that come unstuck just a few fights into their pro careers.

The majority of great fighters were great amateurs.
In no particular order: Loma, Roy Jones, Usyk, Joshua, Klitschko, DLH, Ali, Ray Leonard, Holyfield, Foreman, Whitaker, Mayweather, GGG, Beterbiev, Tarver, Jirov, Tzsuy, Andre Ward, Shakur, Lara, Ugas, Inoue and so on...meanwhile some guy said here that amateur and professional boxing are not even the same sport.

It's hard not to hype the guy, the way he crushes his opponents with blistering speed and sharpness kinda reminds me of young RJJ

but yeah, he needs to fight better opponents so he can really prove he's the goods

There’s a midget out there that he fought as a pro that has already exposed the exact same weakness that saw him getting dominated by Russel Thrice and scraping a 1 point victory one time out of four meetings. Most people haven’t actually watched much of his fights though. He looks like a monster now like Spence did, for the same reasons Spence did. Even got the same affliction Spence got. But this isn’t the 90’s, once the testing comes around he’s going to deflate.

still think Crawford or Spence, and Ortiz beat him and likely by stoppage. He’s very fast though, lots of flash, like Teofimo Lopez. If this guy beats anyone worth a damn he’s gonna jump to P4p#1 with the quickness.

No, I believe that Jaron Boots Ennis is just a late bloomer. It takes some fighters a little longer to develop through the amateur ranks. Right now I would easily favor Jaron Ennis over Gary Antuanne Russell. Besides, Russell, Crawford or Spence want no smoke from Jaron Boots Ennis at this time and you know I'm right. I bet you that Crawford and Spence would square off against each other before ever coming anywhere near Boots.
