every time i tune into the UFC, there is a big fat chippytits HW who is god awful or a bunch of OAP's. its embarrassing to watch, apart from Gane and Nganu, the rest are aids. Im Pretty sure Arlovski is still a top HW and hes been knocked out like 20 times ffs

Yeah its ****ing surreal. People were calling for him to retire like a decade ago for the sake of his health. He was on a 4 fight losing streak outside of the UFC, 3 via first round KO. It seemed inconceivable that he'd ever get back to the UFC again, never mind still be there in ****ing 2021 and typically beating anyone who isnt top 10-15 level.

Disagree. Much more depth than the garbage UFC. He's just being biased towards his sport, just like boxers are biased towards their own generation as it makes them look better. Nash out. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

As far as I'm aware, he's a football guy who just dabbles in combat sports, he's had Hearn & Fury on his podcast.

The division isn’t awful and it’s way better better than when yank steroids nuts dominated the division.

                  Hmmmmm not sure about that.

MMA undercards are usually significantly more entertaining than boxing undercards as they are usually far more competitive.

                  UFC cards are consistency good.

Boxing cards are consistently not so good

But a good boxing match > MMA fight

Yeah I pretty much agree with this. I think MMA is designed to provide a more consistent level of entertainment, boxing rules can lead to a lot of fights that drag on, but when theres a really good fight the rules compliment it. The counts after a knockdown, more rounds and total fight time etc makes it feel more epic and attritional. Only having punches makes it a lot more crisp and aesthetic due to the simplicity, hit and not get hit. And punches only + shorter rounds allows the fighters to keep up a higher overall pace/volume throughout.

There really arent many MMA fights I can think of that were crazy in terms of action/intensity but at the same time werent sloppy as shyt.
