We agree what size he will be on fight night.

Floyd wants to fight in a glamour division, and he perceives 147 -"welterweight" - to be that. Because Floyd and Roger are historians of the sport, they attribute greater cachet to the classic divisions. That is why you keep hearing Floyd mindlessly repeating "this is a welterweight fight" whenever he is asked about the catchweight. In fact, he won't even publicly admit to the catchweight.

He is obsessed with legacy, and the x number of weight classes he has claimed in y number of years.

There is no cachet in moving down in weight.

But its funny how they don't discount those divisions when it comes to counting weight classes in which a championship was won.

There is no cachet in moving up in weight, avoid the best fighters at that weight, and then make fighters from lower weight divisions come up.

You're going to have to bring some more heat than that.

So at 144 you agree Mayweather carries the 144 weight beter. And, I agree and the reason I think he does is cuz he is the bigger man. He has the weight advantage. That is why the weight should be an issue. However, I am with you I think the layoff should be discussed just as much as the weight. Especially with somebody like Floyd who depends so much on his speed, on his timing, on his rythym, and on being able judge the space and distance. He might be rusty. So it might take a few rounds so the rust could come off, it might take a couple more rounds to adjust to JMM, and then it might take even couple more rounds to finally get in his rythym. And, by the time he is where he wants to be. A very good fighter like JMM might some rounds in the bank where PBF would need a KO or it will be a close decision for either fight maybe even controversial. And, I don't think a close decision helps Floyd.

And, I can tell you are a Mayweather fan and you got knowledge. I respect that. And, I am enjoying this debate with you. A lot of Mayweather nuthuggers don't have knowledge and is annoying talking about boxing with them. You in the other hand come with good points and good examples.
