Now, Mayweather easily outboxing Marquez is an absurd statement, if this fight becomes a "boxing" fight it'll be a chess game by the best technician's in the sport today...
Mayweather is the aggressor whenever he needs to be if you watched his fights, if marquez starts to lay back and stops throwin punches floyd will jump on him. he's not the type of one dimensional fighter you can just put in a box.

oscar is trying to set up pbf for a marquez counter trap.and thats what jmm does best is counter. but pbf is smarter than that.he will pot shot then do his own countering.he's been gone for 2 yrs but he's not ******. floyd does need to stop marquez though. but just get the win. cotto is next.

Oscar is right. In order for Floyd to make a statement he needs a KO. It won't look good if he gets a UD. It'll look like the same boring featherfisted Mayweather is back. The fans will yawn and look forward to the more bloody, action-packed battle on Nov. 14.

I don't think Mayweather will look for the KO in this fight. I kind of wonder if JMM will either. I believe that JMM knows that he has to break Floyd down by attrition if he expects to KO him. Floyd likely has the same attitude. I do agree with what Oscar said. Floyd is the one who needs to make a statement in this fight. It will be a moral victory for JMM if he can so much as lose a controversial decision. JMM has fought 50 of his 55 fights at Featherweight and I think Floyd always tries to fight opponents with a handicap even though I think JMM is a superb fighter.

Pretty good post here. I would only add that Marquez has no chance but a puncher's chance. Unfortunately, Marquez is not a bomber. That makes his odds drop into the negatives.

Are you saying this because Floyd is a bigger man? Or because Floyd is a better man?

                Please explain.

He's carried his power up well with him. I think if he was able to hit Mayweather flush or even land some good body punches on him he could do damage. It is just the question of can he land those punches?

and if the fight is such a mismatch, why so many are begging floyd to fight manny for, wouldnt that be a mismatch as well? marquez is a way better boxer and counter puncher than manny is, so floyd isnt cherrypicking his opponents, he'l be facing one of the best in the world sept.19 . and why make a big fuss about marquez coming up 2 weight classes, but when pacquiao beat oscar, people praised him like he was a god or somethin, knowin damn well oscar was dead meat before it even started.

people just hate floyd no matter what the man does, he will always have haters, because hes flamboyant and talks alot. and they praise manny because hes quiet and doesnt talk, who cares about the personality, its about what they do in the ring.

prediction: MAYWEATHER WINS BY U.D. VS MARQUEZ
prediction: MAYWEATHER WINS BY K.O. VS PACQUIAO
I think in this post you just repeated everything PBF has said in the passed. So you don't think this fight with JMM is a mismatch? That means you give JMM a chance in beating Floyd? Right?

And, the whole JMM/Pac/PBF argument I think is ridiculous. Pac has proven that he can carry the weight while JMM hasn't. If you look JMM as lightweight it look that was his limit that he was pushing it at 135. And, now you saying he will still be effective at 144? And, for styles makes fight. I do think Pac can give PBF hell. The hand and foot speed, the head movement, the punching power, and the southpaw stance. IMO will trouble PBF.

What is the big fuzz that JMM is moving up 2 weight-classes? Well maybe is that JMM is moving up 2 weight-classes. You right Pac was treated like god when he beat Oscar. The same will go for JMM if the beats PBF. So what point was you trying to make here?
