    Boxing News 24

By Charles Brun: Eddie Hearn is working on inking Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez to match him against Dimitry Bivol in the summer. Before Hearn makes that fight, he’ll have Bivol (17-0, 11 KOs) defend his WBA light heavyweight title against #8 WBA Craig ‘Spider’ Richards.

That’s a fight that Richards’ team wants, and Hearn wants to give him the title shot. Richards is coming off a big ninth-round knockout win over Shakan Pitters last December.

Richards would be like a tune-up for Bivol, who hasn’t fought since his win over Lenis Castillo in October 2019.

It’s important that the 30-year-old Bivol get the rust out before Hearn matches him against former WBO 168-lb champion Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez (41-0, 27 KOs).

Bivol Vs. Zurdo Ramirez Possible For Summer

“The problem with Dimitry Bivol is, he’s not a household name yet, and he’s been making great money,” said Hearn to iFL TV. “Now the market has readjusted and it’s been more difficult for him to get the fight fights.

“I like the Gilberto Ramirez fight, that’s another one I’m trying to make for the summer. But I would like to give Craig Richards the opportunity first [against Bivol].

“We’re talking and I’ve offered him the Dimitry Bivol fight,” said Hearn about wanting to sign Gilberto Ramirez. “The conversations with Dimitry Bivol is to fight Craig Richards and if he wins, then fight Ramirez after that,” said Hearn.

Yeah, and then when Zurdo called that bluff what happened? Crickets.

Gilberto Ramirez: Dmitry Bivol and HIs Team Know That I'm Available
Undefeated Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (42-0, 28 KOs), the first Mexican boxer to capture the world super middleweight title is hungry to become a light heavyweight champion. “Zurdo” is currently rated No. 2 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and No. 5 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF).

Gilberto Ramirez: Bivol Staying Quiet, I'd Absolutely Destroy Joshua Buatsi
Undefeated Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (42-0, 28 KOs) feels he’ll get his first world light heavyweight title shot because he believes in himself, his promoter Golden Boy Promotions, and his Mexican heritage.

Gilberto Ramirez: My Team is Pushing For The Dmitry Bivol Fight

Gilberto Ramirez Continues To Apply Pressure on Dmitry Bivol For Showdown
World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (18-0, 11 KOs) is still being aggressively pursued by undefeated Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (42-0, 28 KOs), the former World Boxing Organization (WBO) super middleweight world titleholder.

Gilberto Ramirez: After I Beat Gonzalez, Dmitry Bivol Will Have Nowhere To Hide!
Frustrated by Dmitry Bivol’s silence after Team Zurdo and Golden Boy Promotions sent the World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight champion a legitimate contract offer, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez now has a clear path to his first World title shot in the light heavyweight division.

Gilberto Ramirez: Bivol Said He's Not Scared To Fight Me; I Guess He Is Scared
Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez is less disappointed with not landing a title shot for his next fight than with the absence of an explanation as to why it is the case.

Gilberto Ramirez: I Want Bivol Next, He Can't Run Anymore, I'm Coming!

True Indeed! I noted that Hearn was doing the talking, not Bivol! Hearn wanted to sign Zurdo, but he went another way, and so did that Bivol fight!

Don’t try to spin this any other way. There is nothing sexual at all about this thread and you just had to let your attraction to Canelo known.

In order to type what you typed, I am sorry ma’am, but you had to actually picture that gay sh/t in your gay ass head while you typed it. We live in a different world now dude. You can be honest.

Calling you a buttboy is "picturing **** in my head"? AAAAAAllright man. Typical of someone who kicks and screams as they're ripped out of the closet. Anyway, it's the only explanation for you dumbass comments on Canelo. So stop with the bull****. Just stop.

Beterbiev didn’t even mention of wanting to unify against fellow 175 champs in Joe Smith Jr. and Bivol.
