There is no active fighter from 160 to Cruiserweight that would be accused by fans, of “cherrypicking” Makabu, The Ring #3 and WBC champion at CW.

Mairis Breidis, the CW Ring champion, could fight Makabu next and it will be seen as a good fight, live dog. Fans would love it.

Canelo Alvarez, The Ring’s 168lb champion, would be accused of cherrypicking The Ring’s 200lb WBC champion Makabu.

At this point in Canelo's career is all about " low risk-high reward " . And who could blame him. He's in a position to call the shots on who and when he fights. It's all about money and winning. You want to make easy money ? Bet on all of Canelo's fights for him to win from here on in. He's going to fight opponents that are guaranteed wins. He won't be fighting the Beterbiev's of the world. Triple G ? There will be no trilogy until Canelo is confident Tripe G can no longer lift his arms. Take this to the bank. Bet on all of Canelo's remaining fights for him to win. By Charles Brun: Eddie Hearn is working on inking Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez to match him against Dimitry Bivol in the summer. Before Hearn makes that fight, he’ll have Bivol (17-0, 11 KOs) defend his WBA light heavyweight title against #8 WBA Craig ‘Spider’ Richards.

That’s a fight that Richards’ team wants, and Hearn wants to give him the title shot. Richards is coming off a big ninth-round knockout win over Shakan Pitters last December.

Richards would be like a tune-up for Bivol, who hasn’t fought since his win over Lenis Castillo in October 2019.

It’s important that the 30-year-old Bivol get the rust out before Hearn matches him against former WBO 168-lb champion Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez (41-0, 27 KOs).

“The problem with Dimitry Bivol is, he’s not a household name yet, and he’s been making great money,” said Hearn to iFL TV. “Now the market has readjusted and it’s been more difficult for him to get the fight fights.

Dude no one besides bitter GGG fans think he won twice. Most people think he won the first at most, and that he lost the second fight.
