I don't believe that it was intentional, but I'm glad they didn't stop the fight. I've seen fights fights stopped for much less

I'm gonna defer to his experience and assume it was intentional, especially after Jack.

But the bigger deal is that the ref/doctor allowed him to continue. Seems like we see a lot of (imo) premature stoppages these days. It was a relief that they didn't stop this.

After the headbutt, it appeared Beterbiev was holding his head in such a way to let the blood drip off his nose instead of going into his eyes. And I still think it was messing up his vision at times. When Browne was catching him and it looked like he just couldn't see the jabs at times.

Something else I noticed was that he didn't even paw at it once with his glove. He was just holding his head that way. Maybe he knew that wiping it away could get it in his eyes worse or mess up the path off his nose or something. Or maybe he was just too focused on destruction. I don't know but anyway, a lot of times, guys will keep wiping. He didn't.

Looked intentional to me. Not just the time that opened the cut but the way he tried to get at it and make it worse later in the fight. Sure looked to me like dirty boxing.

I am not sure how people can say that definitively. It is extremely hard to see that it was intentional, it absolutely looked accidental and I was rooting for Beterbiev. It’s very hard to say that it was intentional.

As far as Browne’s opponents suffering from cuts due to headbutts, that’s boxing. Boxing has always had boxers who’s styles make for an increase in accidental headbutts in their fights. Holyfield and Tim Bradley come to mind. But Holyfield’s headbutts definitely did look intentional.

if his style is slamming his head into his opponents to open their forehead up like a piggybank, then it's intentional and they should change their style or pick a different sport.

100% intentional Browne leads with his head as a southpaw that's almost always a guaranteed clash of heads there is a reason why his opponents get cut. I hate that style man old school Porter and Tim Bradley did that **** all the time too and always got away with it. They need to start enforcing that better man when you lead head first if you cut the other fighter it should be a DQ that will stop them from pulling that **** again. If you cut a fighter and they deem it suitable enough to continue if that **** is getting in your eye it's causing an unfair advantage in which you can be more susceptible to being knocked out it changes the whole course of the fight. It can also lead to problems in the future with scar tissue for the fighter on the receiving end not just for that one fight but their whole career.

To be fair Beterbiev wasn't exactly 100% clean himself he was stepping on Brownes foot intentionally throughout the fight and that is an unfair advantage as well. But I was ok with it considering Browne threw at least 3 haymaker left hands to Arturs groin intentionally and didn't get warned.

Yeah they need to start pushing that more I hate it when fights get cut short due to headbutts it seems to happen at least a couple times a year and ends up ruining some really good match ups.

I believe Browne's whole gameplan was to get up on the scorecards early, hope to cause a gash and pray for an early stoppage and win via scorecards.

He hit low on the beltline repeatedly, hit after the break repeatedly and caused that nasty cut intentionally. He wouldn't even acknowledge Beterbiev after the fight!

Probably paid someone big money to influence the ref/try to steal the belt and was salty when ref let fight continue and he ended up getting worked.

it was very obvious marcus holyfield browne did it on purpose and he purposely did vs jack. In my view browne should have been disqualified on the spot. He is a dirty cheater

Yeah, he had a good drip path going so it was smart to not smear it and alter that to possibly get it in his eyes.
