I legit think Paul beats Tommy Fury.

I think this **** is just sad and embarrassing for MMA tbh. These MMA guys are looking like a bunch of jobbers who are prepared to make themselves and by extension their sport look bad for a payday. Can you imagine some Youtube kid/random celebrity training MMA for a year or two then luring name boxers into an MMA fight (which they then publicly claim is their biggest career payday) so he can beat them and brag about it? its just a terrible look.

Woodly was either told to carry Paul or he is a complete ****** strategy wise. Paul gasses after 3 rounds. His stamina was a bit better but he is still gassed heavily. The blueprint is VERY simple to beat him. They just have to press him with a tight guard for the first few rounds and after he gasses then let their hands go. Woodly just stood there out of range looking at Paul like he had a 3rd eye on his forehead or something.

The look on his face was pretty bad during the post fight interviews. Looks so sad and defeated. Then Jake played it perfectly, he got a few insults thrown in, some bragging about knocking his ass out but then mixed in with some sympathy, asking him if he is ok which is a two faced question and then mixing in some hype and kind words for Woodley. Woodly had little choice but to accept it gracefully because if he couldnt fire anything back then Jake would just switch over to full ******* and pile on the insults, imagine being a former champ and getting sparked out infront of millions by a some youtube zoomer kid. So he just sits there silently with this dazed look of defeat in his eyes while Jake brags about sparking him out.

You can't say that Jake Paul doesn't have KO power.

At this point I do too. I used to think it was 50/50 but a number of things has me confidently picking paul. First they wouldnt take that fight if they didnt think they would win, they got scouts and all that. Fury is only boxing because its his only way to really make money off his name, he would rather be a celebrity of some sort. Paul doesnt have to box but he wants to, hes got more heart in this than fury. Furys competition is very marginal, he hasnt much more experience than jake in all reality, they feed him scrubs who are there to lose to pad his record.

There is a reason jake is moved along like he is. There is a reason he hasnt been thrown in with a badu jack, a legit non achient boxer. They arent going to do what they did with frank mir which was insane throwing him in there with 40 year old pulev who is an active top 10 or top 15 heavyweight, that was nuts and we got the result we expected.

I would pick any cruiserweight boxer that is 4-0, extremely fit, and in athletic prime to defeat two 40 year old former welterweights coming over from UFC.

Come on. Paul could not beat any golden glove boxer under 200 lbs that had at least 20 fights

You characterized the situation very well... and it is sad. I am old fashion el***... I have never been a fighter, don't like to fight, but I have fought in rings, etc... and I do not want to second guess Woodley but if I was going to get in a ring and had not prepared for it I would not make idle boasts. Why couldn't Woodley say: "I may be last minute, and I may not have trained fully, but im throwing hard, and one of us is going down!" Something that he could deliver on... Why promise the world? Then this would not have been such a disaster.

Maybe I am looking at this wrong... I just would never promise anything I knew I could not deliver... The potential is disasterious.
