I've been a Bivol fan for a long time, but I'm not so sure. I think that's a much better stylistic matchup for Zurdo than Beterbiev or some other guys. Height and reach to Zurdo, maybe chin and power as well. I think you beat Zurdo by putting it on him and forcing him to fight and exchange, don't think Bivol will do that. Bivol still might out box him, but I think that fight plays into Zurdo's hands, where if he can keep Bivol back with the jab and move around him, it will limit the workrate from Bivol and allow Zurdo to pile up some points. Basically, I can see a scenario where Zurdo does a better job of what Spider Richards did in the 2nd half of that fight with Bivol.

Beterbiev on the other hands walks through Zurdo I think and beats him up, much like he did Browne

I agree. Which is why it's embarrassing that Bivol's side has been avoiding the fight.

I think Bivol was just rusty against Richards. We'll see, it should get ordered now. Beterbiev beats the shet out of Zurdo for sure.

Hopefully they can make that fight next, I still have my doubts whether either guy REALLY wants it

                  ...AT ALL!

Beterbiev breaks him down and stops him for sure, better off going after Bivol than Beterbiev but he doesn't beat Bivol. Zurdo could beat Joe Smith though, with Lyndon Arthur losing to Yarde he will likely be #1 and in the Mandatory Position for Joe Smith so I think they go that route then look to Unify with Bivol

                    Great breakdown man.

I see it being a fight where Bivol is tested, forced to work but will win enough rounds to win a decision.

They should make this fight for Spring 2022.
