When Canelo beats Beterbiev, will Artur then be "too old"?

Oh. Cool! I'm curious as to how this Makabu fight is going to look. I assume Makabu is going to shrink down to 190 and Canelo will bulk ... if it happens, I hope Makabu just doesn't lie down. I think Beterbiev would be far and away the better fight, however.

I'm seeing a lot of guy's saying Canelo can't beat him. When he does, I'm sure you guy's will start saying "But Beterbiev was 57".

When is that going to be exactly? He could have fought him already in 2019 when the guy was 34 but he decided to pick the weakest champ in kovalev for a strap. He could have stayed at 175 and unified with artur,but he dropped the belt,and moved down. And now canelo is talking about fighting an Unknown guy at cruiserweight who's biggest claim to Fame was losing to bellew. By the time he fights him (if he fights him) he'll be at least 37-38. Coincidentally canelo wants to retire at 37. Wonder why that is? Because at that point most fighters are no longer in their prime and start declining fast. Canelo and his team aren't ******. They see that artur still hits like a truck,has stamina,can take a punch,and they won't step up until they see that he's ripe for the taking.

People will always have excuses. Its not about the fighter. It’s how they live their lives.
That said, I believe Canelo can whip whip ANYONE under 200lbs. People forget Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, James Toney and a few others had no problem whipping bigger men.

Canelo avoids big punchers. That's why he desperately avoided Benvenidez but was so eager to fight Plant. Plant sucks and cant punch.

2 Beterbiev is 40yo
3 Beterbiev will be drained fighting at catch-weight
