Not my cup of tea for a boxing style.
Finally, someone with a valid reason for not being a fan! This is different than the other **** because the person I had referred to in this initial post actually fabricates reasons and puts it out there in the world. So you have people disliking and even hating someone for something that's not even true. Unless it's just pretense ....

Absolutely! I just is. He's also a nationalist. If it's not Lomachenko, then it's AJ. When Wilder was the big heavyweight in the US, that guy came out with a hundred videos crapping on AJ, making **** up as usual to stir up his viewership. What I'm always surprised by is the lack of his viewers not even being aware of their racism. Maybe they are. I don't know, but it seems as if they believe that they are not racially motivated.

Yeah. That's true. I see what you mean. It's on both sides, for sure. But that's also what bugs me because those on here are drowned out by the rest or they are banned. It's when the Youtube people have such a large, receptive audience that I become concerned. I mean, let's face it, there are a lot of ******, unthinking people in the world who are easily led like sheep.

There's a lot of friction in the world right now. A lot of anger, frustration and growing tribalism. The US right now reminds me of Europe in the 20th century, when we saw catastrophes in 1930s Germany and the Bosnian War of the 1990s. Does the world become even more tribal than it has been? That seems to be the trend as of late. I think boxing somehow presents a microcosm of what's going on in the US.

I think Lomachenko was a bit overrated when he was ranked P4P#1 and I wasn’t that surprised when he got exposed by Lopez, that said he’s still very fun to watch and one of the top 10 smaller boxers. Kind of like Chocolatito. To answer your question, I don’t get why lots of people hate him, either. Like others have said, it could be an ethnic thing.

Excellent post and summary. That's why you are one of the best NSBers.

The bold: You would be surprised how valuable NSB is to boxing. Many fighters and their teams read here daily because NSB has the most knowledgeable members anywhere, with each poster focusing on their interest. It's a rich source of info if you were a boxing journalist intern. NSB rocks.

Having said all that, tho, nothing surprises on NSB. Without all those controversies, site would be dead.

Why so much hate for Canelo? Why so much hate for Tank? People have their preferences that's why. If a fighter is getting hate, chances are he's popular so it can be a good thing.

You telling me Tank gauged the reaction to Cruz as an opponent and still went through with it?

It's the reasons for the hate. I dislike Canelo because I think he has other forces working in his favor to win his fights. There is a dark cloud of rigged fights and PEDs that hangs over Alvarez and everything he does. The moment he got the win over GGG the first fight, it was downhill from there. Then he gets busted for PEDs (whether excused or not) and comes back like a completely different boxer, then there was nothing he could do to make me like him after that. All of his dehydration clauses and orchestrating his fights so he has the best chance of winning has ruined it for many people, many people in Mexico. I can assure you.

This is different. It's similar to those who hate Floyd to hate on Floyd. You know what I mean.

I told this whole board Cruz Gonzalez was no joke before he even fought Davis. I personally was conflicted about that fight, because I like both fighters. I knew it wasn't an easy fight. I could see a 9-3 or 8-4 Davis. If Cruz does nothing moving forward, quote me again. Cruz is Mexico's number 1 lightweight, followed by William Zepeda. I knew Cruz was no joke.

Maybe Davis was not ready for the style. Styles make fights.
