Never minded the constant fellating from Bradley and everybody else on ESPN outside of maybe Ward, they got caught red-handed trying to pretend that he was an undefeated fighter……..but the media bias in his favor orchestrated by corporations all controlled by people who aren’t black is not about race huh? Yet one random YouTuber who happens to be black and not on the Loma hype train is all about race?
Race is the reason Loma was hyped the way he was, but to me that doesn't take away that he is a great fighter. I judge a fighter myself not what the media tells me to do. I judge a fighter based on what I see and not based on what teddy atlas, Bradly, espn, or boxing ego sees.

And for better and for worse MANY more boxing fans get there boxing news from places like boxing ego and es news than espn, espn is small media now, boxing ego and es news are big media for boxing.

Yeah. It was for numerous reasons. First, he hand't fought in 14 months. It might have been a little longer. Lopez was out for awhile too but not as long as Loma. Loma had been out three or four months longer than Lopez. Then his shoulder caused him to cut his sparring sessions either completely out or very short. Not normally an issue, but if you haven't fought for 14 months, that's going to be a problem with getting your rhythm and timing down.

Then, with that, you take into account that Lopez is very fast, strong and very athletic, then you have a problem getting started. Also, in round two, you did see him close the round with some clean, hard combinations. That was enough to give him the second round on most unofficial scorecards because he landed his punches and Lopez didn't that round.

When Loma said his shoulder bugged him, I believe it. But I think that was a third of the issue. I think the psychological effect of Lopez's punching power (which I do believe Loma realized was overrated once he got in the pocket, sure he kicked himself for that) and speed was the other third, and then the long layoff and lack of sparring was the last third. All three of these made the perfect storm for a late start.

Man. That's obviously a typo. Editing problem. Probably from some intern over at ESPN. I saw that with Linares once, when they gave him seven losses and, at that time, he only had two losses. I can't remember who he was fighting, but that **** was ridiculous.

People make mistakes all the time. Maybe there are some that push some race narrative, but I see a lot of people just being a fan of the sport. Loma is super talented, and the reason why he's lost is that he doesn't listen to the matchmakers and pushes himself to fight the best available. If everyone did that, then everyone would have losses. So you have to keep it with context.

I don't see this level of racism that you speak of. I mean I do, but just not to that degree. There's always pieces of **** out there. But just because there are *******s out there doesn't mean you or I have to stoop to their level. Know what I mean?

So if you can see that Loma has been much more privileged due to his race than hated on then why even give this BS thread credence? You should be with me calling this clown OP out. This is the same site and same posters that disrespect FMJ relentlessly 24-365. 99% of them aren’t black……do you think that they would admit that they hate on Floyd because they’re racist?

Again tho, why wouldn’t it be reasonable for black boxing fans who can see Loma getting preferential treatment by the media due to race, be turned off by that? Why do y’all expect us to constantly see systematic racism play out and just shut up about it with no negative reaction?

There are all kinds of racism, yours is subtle. Passive aggressive. This thread is racist. You made this thread to have posters come in here and signify about how racist “pbc fans” are which is just a code term for black people. As I just said above, this is the same site that disrespects Floyd on the daily non stop. Why don’t you consider all of the non black posters here who hate on and downplay Floyd to be motivated by race? Floyd is much more accomplished than Loma. If black boxing fans who are critical of Loma and the hype behind him must be motivated by race, then why doesn’t that logic apply to non black fans who are critical of the best black fighters?

You’re full of sht. That underhanded veiled passive aggressive bs doesn’t fly by me.

I'm the biggest critic of systematic racism on here I just choose bigger battles now, everyone jumped off the Loma bandwagon after he lost to Teofimo, so I focus more on the privilege that fighters like Canelo and Tyson Fury have. I always liked Loma for stepping up and taking the tough fights, not failing drug tests like them two, not always being involved with controversy like them two. My big issue with Loma is he never should have been ranked above Bud on the p4p list, but now that he's not even in most p4p lists anymore, it's more important to focus on the bigger beneficiares of white privilege in boxing. Loma is a nobody now, no reason to hate.

I never mentioned Floyd, but I can tell one thing, you must live a miserable life. I feel sorry for you, to be honest. I know you don't like me, but I think you should go get therapy from a professional. Don't do it for yourself either; do for those around you.
