Can Alvarez Become FOTD or Will a Young Guy Like Jaron Ennis Take It

I don’t see him fighting to the end of the 2020s.

Will Alvarez pull a Mayweather by doing so much good work that he gets FOTD despite retiring sometime mid-decade?

or will FOTD get taken by a young rising star like Jaron Ennis

Yes but he needs to start building a legacy now. Fight Andrade and Charlo. Go for undisputed at 175 and it will be very tough to beat.

      Lmao your ridiculous op.
If anything he has guys for the first half of the decade. The cherrypicked cruiserweight, benavidez and charlo. But after that then who?
boots has yet to prove himself. Probably another dud like Spencer for all we know.

What determines who is anointed Fighter of the Decade? Who determines this?

It might be tough due to timing. People remember the middle and end of the decade more than the beginning. Also he'd be around 40 at the end of the decade so he'd be outside of his physical peak from the middle onwards and might take some losses.

If he was 5 or 6 yrs younger and draining to make 147 I'd agree.....but he's already pushing 35 and will be undersized at jr middle imo. He still awaiting the Spence showdown so by the time he moves up,if he even does, he"ll be around 36. Jermell and especially Castano, with his workrate, would be too much for Bud imo.

Dont think Canelo will be in the game long enough to win it so id say it be someone around lightweight where theres a pool of talent above and below that division to sustain a decades run. I can see someone like Ryan with his stature to move up multiple divisions having a run at it...along with Boots and Ortiz of course.
