Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: I Feel As Though I'm The Best At 135, None Of Them Guys Can Beat Me

Gervonta Davis wants to prove what he believes in his heart, that he is the best lightweight in boxing. When asked after his points victory over Isaac Cruz which opponent he'd be excited to fight in 2022, Davis didn't mention anyone by name. It was clear, though, that he referred to George Kambosos Jr., Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia.

In other words,in reference to Andre Ward’s criticism of Davis Sat night - The training wheels are still on and Davis is not going to risk that 0 in 2022! Like the article states - bring on more b-level Hispanic fighters with average power ala Barrios and Cruz…dont care to be great or ever be considered p4p.

Maybe you can feel this way. But you haven't proved it. That's because you haven't fought the best, much less beat them. As long as you go the protected route with Mayweather, this will be the case. Seems like a wasted boxing career. But you seem happy enough in that cocoon.

Tank is the better fighter but they all still have to box each other. looks like Cryan Garcia is about to fight pitbull Cruz and Kambosos vs Haney should happen, so i'd like to see Tank vs Teofimo Lopez at 140 next.

Talk is cheap. Prove it in the ring, Tank.

Teofimo fought and beat Lomachenko. What have you done?

If Haney vs. Kambo is a go: Tank vs. Prograis @ 140, or Tank vs. GRJ @ 135! "Cryan Garcia'" very funny!

Ryan Garcia Says Isaac Cruz Negotiations Have Started
                    December 14, 2021

“As I said, Cruz is a good fighter. I mean, I really mean no disrespect when I say he’s a ‘c-class fighter.’ It really wasn’t towards him. It was more towards Tank [Davis] because I’ve been calling him out for, I don’t know how long.

To me, I honestly feel he’s [Pitbull Cruz] a B-level fighter, but a B-level fighter in a smaller weight class [super featherweight]. He’s a C-class fighter at 135. I’ll stand by that.

“He’s [Isaac Cruz] pretty small. I’m not saying that he’s not good enough to compete. I just feel that maybe he’s too small for the weight, but we’re going to see. He said he was going to beat me up.

“He said he’s going to dog me and walk me down and put that pressure on me. Well, that’s all I’ve fought my whole life, pressure fighters that come forward and try to dog me.

“So, we’re just going to have to see. Let’s go, man. I’m ready to get back in the ring. Line them up, and there goes the left. Time them coming in. It doesn’t matter.

Lightweight contender Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) says his team has started negotiations with recently beaten former world title challenger Isaac 'Pitbull'

He calls him a "C-Class fighter, but his team is already in negotiations with him, NOT TANK! Lol!
