While I agree that Whyte deserves more than a 80/20 split, I do believe that is the normal champion/challenger rate and has been for a very long time.

70/30 or 65/35 seems about right to me. Let's just hope it gets done while we wait on the AJ-Usyk rematch, then the fight for all the marbles has to happen

Of course. 80/20 is extreme. In a high profile british fight, both guys will always be bringing something to the table.

My post was in response to deathofaclown, a simpleton who seems to believe this is actually the case. Besides, Fury’s official purse for the trilogy fight with Wilder was £4.4m..I don’t see any Fury fanboys bandying this figure about like it means anything relevant, and neither should they. So why is this £300k figure even a thing worth mentioning, when we all know every fighter under-registers their purses with their respective commission?

70-30 max. Whyte is a bum who got starched by a 97 year old Povetkin. He has almost no value other then being from the UK where the proposed fight will be.

Hearn was quite happy to offer Wilder 15% of a £100 million plus pot when he was the undefeated WBC champion but now wants a ridiculously larger share for a fighter who just two fights ago was knocked unconscious .

I once gave a pizza delivery guy a 30 cent tip ordering a full pie about 11/12 dollars when I was young thinking I was doing him a favor ? Fury asking for 80 % deliberately is even worse then that .

I would offer a 75/25 for Whyte. Whyte couldn't fill an arena if he tried. Whyte isn't very marketable as a fighter so that has to factor into the equation as well. 25% for Whyte at the highest. No more no less.

Team Wilder abandoned negotiations . A.J was worth well over what Wilder was making the 15% was a bargain it was over 7 times Wilders payday at the time and he had zero PPV events nor any bargaining chip besides the one belt, A.J had 4 .

LOL at Robbie holding a job

His mom comes from work at 5 pm and makes him clean his room (her basement)

Whyte has sold out the O2 arena before so that’s false .
