Comments Thread For: Hearn On Fury-Whyte: Absolutely Want More Than 80-20 Split For Deal With Top Rank, Warren

Eddie Hearn is more than willing to negotiate with Tyson Fury's handlers on behalf of Dillian Whyte for their mandated WBC heavyweight title fight. If Fury's side wants an 80-20 purse split in Fury's favor, however, that'll bring an abrupt end to those talks.

80-20..they outta their damn mind lol. Has Fury even headlined a PPV in the UK before? They were struggling to find money for his UK homecoming last December against Kabayel, which then got shelved. I believe Whyte has headlined at least three PPVs, and he’s the most commercially viable option for Fury outside of AJ. I genuinely don’t think he fills a stadium against the likes of Joe Joyce. Vast gap in ability aside, I imagine this has to be 70-30 at least and more like 65-35 unless this is going to purse bid.

Fury v Wlad was one of the biggest PPV’s in the UK

Fury would fill stadiums now, he’s become a huge star in the last 3 years, he just hasn’t fought in the UK. He’s currently the biggest star in UK boxing and the nations hero.

Whytes fault for talking **** all the time tbf why would Fury do him any favours? Whyte isn’t exactly a huge PPV draw and Furys popularity has skyrocketed the last few years.

Whyte is entitled to 45% in a purse bid. He'd be tarded to accept anything under 35%.

You wish. Whyte will force a purse bid.

Fury’s going to try and avoid a potential pitfall here and swerve Whyte ,hopefully the WBC does the right thing . Posters can claim anything they like but Fury who actually has to step in the ring knows the risks on this one .
