Comments Thread For: Casimero Still The WBO Champion, Butler-Agbeko For Interim-Title

John Riel Casimero still remains a bantamweight titlist, although now officially on the clock. The three-division titlist was issued a Show Cause notice by the WBO, who has given Casimero (31-4, 21KOs) ten days to show medical proof of his inability to honor his mandatory title defense versus Paul Butler. The bout was due to take place this Saturday at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, only for Philippines' Casimero to withdraw prior to the weigh-in as he cited a bout with gastritis.

The gastritis everybody endured while watching Casimero fight Rigondeaux must have been contagious.

The japanese fans were praying that Butler loses because they know Butler's team/promoter has no intention of unifying. Even tho they hate Casimero.

There's no way Butler vs Agbeko should be for any version of any world title, interim or otherwise. Neither guy is ranked by TBRB, ESPN, or Ring Magazine. BoxRec has Butler at #20 and Agbeko #76. Agbeko fought a 5-6 fighter in his last fight and hasn't held a legitimate world title in over 10 years; the man is 41 years old. That's like 650 in bantamweight years. He makes Donaire look like a spring chicken.

This is the WBO filling a vacancy, not crowning a champion. I know both guys are in the WBO's top 10 but that just goes to show you how garbage the WBO's rankings are.

Sunny Edwards exposed a spy for leaking Casimero's videos.

Additional sources I've gathered that Casimero weighed 119 yesterday and was ready to make the weigh in.

Doctor revealed that Casimero's stomach sickness was due to food intake or exposure to 'air'. Some team members speculated that Casimero was poisoned when 'foreigner' spies came into their workout private sessions.

Possible spy from Butler's camp or the promoter?? Considering Agbeko's sudden appearance? Butler revealed in the interview he wont fight Agbeko if it isn't for the full WBO title...

              Weird turn of events...

Agbeko wins, Casimero moves up in weight and vacates, Agbeko-Rigo II for the full belt, if the world can handle the excitement.
